After Kasautii Zindagi Kay, it wasn't the end of the road for Shweta Tiwari.

She's back playing a prominent role in a serial. "Why wouldn't have I got the main lead again? Not many know that the moment I decided to quit my first soap, I got an offer for this tele soap. So you see, my fate was not like other actresses on television," she says.

Although Shweta has worked with the K-camp for seven years, for her, there isn't much difference in working with another production house. "The working under most of the production houses is almost the same as we still have to slog for hours and hours for the shoot."
But then why not any of Ekta's serial? "Ekta offered me a role in her mega-budget and most awaited television epic. But just imagine of all the roles she wanted me to do a drab role like Kunti!" Needless to say, Shweta turned it down.

Shweta's real life kept her as much in limelight. Constantly surrounded with controversies thanks to ex-hubby Raja Chowdhary, the actor now is in no mood to settle down now. "I've had enough. As they say once bitten twice shy. That is the case with me now. I don't think I'll ever marry now. I'm happy being single and I don't wish to give life a second chance."
But isn't it tough being a single mother? "Well, I have always been a single mother to my child ever since she was born."
