Ragini was sitting in the room flipping through channels on the television. Her hunger had died. She was extremely bored. She began thinking if marrying Nachiket was wrong. His world was really different. His sister and friends disliked her. Was she really so bad. Then she thought about how hot Rupali looked. She had impeccable style. She looked completely in love with Nachiket. A lone tear escaped her eyes. She missed her mom and decided to call her. She walked to the balcony.

R - hi maa

M - how are you beta?

R - maa i think marrying Nachiket was a mistake

M - why beta

Just then Nachiket entered the room with his keys. Ragini didnt hear him walk in.

R - Pam and most of his friends hate me.

M - it will take time

R - i know. But i met his ex rupali. She is so pretty and in love with him. I think i am came between them

M - Ragini she is his ex

R - i dread the day Nachiket realises she is the one he loves. If he does i won't wait for the contract to end. Its better he spends his life with someone he loves and not someone he is bound to because of dadaji.

M - beta don't think such thoughts. You can't stay alone

R - why alone you are there. My patients are there. I wont be alone. A doctors life is always busy. There are always people who need me

M - what about who you need? You like him now dont you

R - how does it matter what i like and whom i want. I am on my so called honeymoon faking a headache and sitting alone in the room so that i don't have to deal with people who think i came between Nachiket and rupali or i am not worth him.

M - you are worth him.

R - your my mother. You will always say nice stuff about me. This marriage thing is not meant for me. I should have stuck to delivering babies.

M - you don't want a husband and kids

R - maybe after the contract i could adopt. I will be a cool mom. I think i can definately do that

M - when the kid grows up then

R - when the kid grows up and i will take up lecturing in medical colleges. Maa i have lots of alternate plans

M - Ragini try to make this marriage work

R - i don't know what to do maa. I dont think i am the kind of girl who can influence a man to love her. Or atleast someone would have asked me out in 30years.

M - Ragini i don't know what to say to you. But i will pray for your happiness.

R - maa i will be happy. Married or divorced. I miss papa on such days. He always pushed me to excel and said love will come to you when its meant for you

Nachiket was stunned to listen to this conversation. He quietly left the room.

M - it will in the form of Nachiket

R - lets see. I leave it to fate. Chalo i am sleepy. Nachiket may come late. The sangeet seems to be a lot of fun. I can hear the music.

M - bye beta. God bless you.

R - good night maa

Ragini stood in the balcony just enjoying the cool breeze. Her eyes were all watery and she kept wiping her tears. Nachiket was standing down in the lawn and looking at her. He began thinking if the marriage was actually a mistake. Had dadaji and maa made a mistake. If the marriage didnt work he would be more disappointed than Ragini. She had alternative plans. But he wanted to settle down and have a family. He could picture it with Ragini. She had a good heart. She would be a lovely mother to his kids. But could he love her like a wife would want her husband to

N - i can. I think i already love her and she loves me. If my friends don't like her, i need new friends. I can't hurt Ragini for them. She left her mother and house to marry me. I have to make her realise rupali means nothing to me

Nachiket returned with determination to the room. Ragini was in bed pretending to sleep. He knew that. He changed and came to sleep. That's when he realised he needed to make an effort to show Ragini his feeling. He kept in mind she was awake and slowly gave her a peck on her cheek and said a goodnight. He then kept one hand on her waist and snuggled besides her to sleep.

Ragini was overjoyed by his gesture. She instinctively turned around and cuddled him. Nachiket smiled as he felt her breathe settle and she fell asleep. He fell asleep determined to make some drastic changes from the next day.

Pl update

Ragini woke up to the sound of Nachiket taking a shower. He then came out in just his shorts and came straight to the bed. Ragini was sitting and yawning on the bed. But the sight of her handsome husband made her stare at him. Nachiket sat besides her.

N - you can stare at me all your life

R - why are you up so early. Its 6am

N - we are going out for breakfast. Anyways none of us had dinner

R - you didn't eat at the sangeet

N - didn't feel like it. Was boring without you. Chalo now dress up fast. I am starving

Ragini smiled and rushed to dress up. Nachiket had booked a car for him to drive.

R - no driver

N - i will drive.

They reached a local restaurant run by a family. The breakfast was a hearty south Indian spread

R - i love this food. How did you find out about it?

N - spent time on google when i was getting bored at the sangeet without you

R - sorry. My headache

N - thats ok. Lets go do some shopping

Nachiket took Ragini to pick some sarees and gold jewellery.

R - its so different from what we wear. But i like that red saree.

N - take it. Wear it for the wedding in the evening.

R - yes. Thats a good idea

They drove back to the hotel and were in the car park.

N - ragini you got ice cream on your lips

R - we didnt eat ice cream yet

N - but your lips are like ice cream for me.

Saying so Nachiket pulled her in a deep kiss. As he was kissing her he pulled her on his lap. He was swift and gentle. He shut the car windows and turned on the AC

N - this is why no driver. I want to make out with my wife as and when i want. No disturbance.

R - nachiket we...

N - shhh ragini...i am definately attracted to you. I like waking up to your face. I cant sleep without cuddling you. You have become my habit.

Saying so he pulled her in a kiss again. He pulled her hair with his hand and gained access to her mouth. Ragini was mourning as his hand travelled inside her kurta next. He was caressing her waist and back. He broke the kiss and left Ragini gasping for air. He smirked at the effect he had on her.

N - i love you Ragini. This is just a marriage for me. The contract is dead. I want you as my wife in every sense. I know you are still unsure. But i can wait

Ragini hugged him tight. Nachiket pulled her out of the hug.

N - tell me you love me

R - i do. I love you. I don't know since when. But i do

Nachiket smiled and hugged her.

R - Nachiket the wedding is in an hour

N - lets not go

R - we have to.

N - i want to love you my wife

R - i want you as well. But lets go for the wedding. We can leave from there fast. Anyway your friends dislike me

N - i don't care what they think. Lets go fast and return even faster

R - i love you

N - love you more

They made out again for a while and returned to their room. Ragini wore the new saree and jewellery. Nachiket hugged her from behind as she tried putting on her necklace

N - don't. Just keep the mangalsutra

R - its a wedding

N - i find you sexy in your simplicity

R - Nachiket lets go fast. We are already late.

They left reluctantly for the wedding.

Catching up with this story after the long time as I had gone missing for a bit but this is beautiful and I love the fact that he has fallen for her first this time and now she has given in to her feelings as well :)
