I have a bit of a different take. I think Shivaay played Tejvi with the whole promise and vanwas thing. They did exactly what he wanted them to do. He wanted to get out of the house so that Svetlana has no way to keep track on his moves.

I started watching the show after the Mahi saga ended just before the separation Track and I knew that ML was fake so when I watched the episodes I physically rolled on the floor laughing when Anika was discussing babies Ansh and Shivika...and Shivay was getting uncomfortable with all that. If you compare the episodes they were not that melancholic as these one's are. Don't recall Shivay crying.
