Ishqbaaz trimmed to half an hour; Vikram Bhatt's Ishq Gunaah to take the slot

Ishq Gunaah is been produced by Vikram is a matured love story of a young girl and a mother with a matured man...

For all the fans of Ishqbaaz here comes the shocker with a confirmed news that Star Plus show Ishqbaaz will now be trimmed from current one hour to half an hour only . From next month the 10.30 PM slot will be for Vikram Bhatt s bold show Ishq Gunaah that stars Sanjay Kapoor , Smriti Kalra and Nikki Aneja Walia .

Earlier Star Plus had launched a spin off of Ishbaaz as Dil Bole Oberoi in the 10.30 slot . But this strategy did not work for the channel and they were back to being Ishqbaaz with a one hour slot . But apparently the one hour show also is difficult for the teams to be managed and the quality of the show is suffering . So that's why Star Plus team has taken the decision to move Ishqbaaz in its original 10 to 10.30 slot only . This is the second show of producer Gul Khan after Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' s closure that has been affected by the new programming change in Star Plus. Currently the story is been balanced between three oberoi brothers Shivaay , Omkara and Rudra . While all their love story with Anika , Gauri and Bhavya will now run parallel . While Anika will bring Gauri and Omkara closer a new twist of Gauri and Anika s past will also be revealed . While Bhavya and Rudra wedding is also on the cards soon . Along with that Pinky and Svetlana s track will add the twist in the family drama .

Ishq Gunaah is been produced by Vikram is a matured love story of a young girl and a mother with a matured man . The show Stars Sanjay Kapoor , Smriti Kalra , Nikki Aneja and Ashim Gulati . The show is been adapted from
Turkish drama named Ask-I-Memmu' which means forbidden love. After making digital web series like Twisted , Maya and Spotlight Vikram is now venturing into television with a matured subject that will shock the viewers .

Ishqbaaz was always meant to be a half an hour show so maybe going back to basics may work well for the show. Now with ipk 3 going off air the concentration will be back on IB and a 20 Min slot make the story crisper and we will get fewer filler episodes and useless tracks.
Fandoms will fight coz some days shivika will take the centre stage sometimes rikara and sometimes ruvya but we must all remember that ishqbaaz was the story of all 3 brothers and their love stories so we should all embrace all 3 love story's and enjoy them

One more thing.. showing an extremely mature show at 10.30 May not be the smartest thing. Star plus used to have more mature shows at 11. Like kahin kiss Roz and k street Pali Hill. I don't know if they should cancel a show which is getting them some ratings for a completely new show. Plus as per track record none of the new shows on star plus have actually managed to garner the ratings the thought they would.
But I guess if ratings don't come they will again air ishqbaaz for 1 hour as the show is still in existence

Coming back to half an hour will hopefully lead to less stress on cast and crew .. better screenplay, concrete story .. less dragging, fewer villains ... fingers crossed on quality scenes for all major characters
one thing audience have to patient as their favs may not there on every episode .. some episodes will focus on some characters and others on another episode ..
hopefully creatives can focus on giving quality episodes

And yeah bigg boss is going to be on 1030 slot and heard kbc timings might change to before 10 .. this would hopefully leads better trps for IB ..

If it's true then I don't think this is a bad idea since we are actually getting content worth of 30 minutes and sometimes 15 minutes or less in each one hour epi. The makers are clearly struggling with one hour time slot and shorter episodes mean crisper episodes with less nonsense in them.

If the CVs can juggle smoothly between the three couples and fans can be patient about it, this is going to work in favour of the show.

Hopefully this also means that the show isn't in any immediate danger despite the randomness we've been getting and the fluctuating ratings.
