Episode 7
Tale of two friends at different ends
Once upon a time in Mugla is unfolded as money heist, fraud and doubling of evidences are shared by two friends. Kavrug’s grandpa is a smart cookie who proves to be proud of grey and wrinkles.
Loki, the two neuron local hooligan gives away Nejdat’s hideout for a salvaging his pride. Although it was trick to play a pesky & comical character, Loki will be a suitable recruit to Akin’s army soon. Its a story of misinterpreted love and friends for gain.
The major plot twister was the stolen inheritance and Efegolu sufferings in poverty at the hands of Iskili. An ailing Sr.Iskili and Gediz take moral responsibilities to set things right. What lies beneath Refika and Halise’s friendship was society governed laws of disparity and white lies….
Muge looks to be madly in love. Akin knows how to tie the ends of a story with knots in a family. Its honor for Muge and revenge for Akin….tale at two ends.
Muge and Nare appear to be sisters from a different mother…well..how can they not share their teenage crush or new found love? Yeah…the timelines seem to have tricked our sense but isn’t there something called technology…hotmale..err hotmail etc? ;-)
Some of the great scenes of the story was in this episode. Sancar and Gediz reluctantly spend time with each other in the jail cells. How convenient was that setup…house arrest!!
Just like how Gediz triggered Nare to talk about the chastity band, he pushed Sancar to understand the deep seated mistrust!! Monologues from Sancar were pitch perfect to all those viewers who found him unreal, insensitive and cruel.

Sancar had been sucked into the vortex of Akin’s tricks. Gediz cannot hold back his tears hearing the tragic love story. So will Gediz reunite the couple?
Nare is determined to provoke image conscious daddy. She dares to share her ill fate rape episode with Muge. Muge suspects if she were a therapist or a patient. ;-)
Homecoming of the duo are just glory. Flashes of smiles and reliefs of sighs…Melek knows how to pet her daddy…while Nare can only watch from a distance.
Sancar makes his baby step to take responsibility for Nare’s well-being. Its carefully rejected by Nare. Nare too has lost the capacity to trust and feel loved by people around her.
If Sancar recalls 12 days of each year with passion, Nare’s letter screams of her mountain like love for Sancar.
And if Gediz found salvation from correcting the mistakes, Sancar drowns in desolation of loss
They are part of the same story, but seeing it from different ends.
Hoping that writers push enough of redemption path without a tragic tone.
Actor playing role of Kavrug, is upping his game with those of Gediz and Sancar. There is serious competition!!
PS : Have deliberately avoided Elvan and Menekse’s 5th grader tease and Halise having her time out from Sancar.
Episode 8 review
Message in a bottle
When classic Catch me if you can meets Castaway…Sefirin Kiz episode 8 is born.
Nare throws a googly at all the men chasing her. Didn’t we read in the character preview that she is a hunter? She meticulously plans a bait for Akin fully understanding his strategy of using weakness of pride/image, loved ones and family.
Chaos theory with random states of disorder continues with Muge deciding to buy a car when she has a phobia to drive, Halise decides to throw a kurban party without any outcomes, Refika gets her sisterhood hormones active, Guven’s house arrest and Elvan proves why white noise can also be a pattern detection.
Kavrug defines as man Friday for Nare by providing the much needed hide out facility.
Sancar is put into a dilemma of taking sides…anne or Nare. Balancing is an art and Sancar needs to perfect it. Gediz wastes no time to report Nare’s predicament to Sancar and hell breaks loose.
Didn’t we mention of the characters being dummy to prevalent technologies and the writers did take that message. ;-) Andriod Device Manager or something called GPS – Gediz powers Sancar can help track Nare’s location. Hola…Barcelona.
Why did Akin spend night at that shady place? Was he sexually abused or was a part of gay acts etc.? Muge emotionally discharged by Akin to show her righteousness values… you got message!!
Diplomatic passport being revoked brings in the end to the flight of randomness.
We are introduced to the lie that Nare has been living. - finding Sancar’ s behavior repulsive, when she yearns for his well-being. Its Sancar on her lips and prayers. How long does it take to Nare to realize this? This will be a roll-a coaster ride.
Gediz and Sancar reach the hide out to put Usain Bolt’s record at threat. Nare seems to have friend zoned Gediz to make a comfortable shoulder to cry on….but is this acceptable by Gediz?
The reunion of baba & Melek is much needed eye candy with innocence, anxiety and self-less love. Bring it on…Let Sancar and Nare learn from Melek.

Nare’s letters to Sancar was his window to the outside world. It was his source of happiness and solitude. When this ritual had been broken with Gediz as recipient Sancar’ s indignation was a normal reaction. The letter to Gediz was a good false start for Sancar who thought reprimanding his mother was step towards supporting Nare. Irony!!
Sancar’ s confrontation on the letter is equally pushed back by Nare who vouches to write only happy accounts to him. Sancar’ s Nare is lost in time. :(
Sancar is quick to realize the presence of Akin, possibility of Nare being harassed into acting as mole and set up the false allegations. Sancar’ s provocation is low savage to turn Nare on. Slap…just once? For all the she has gone through…my count at least 3. Ok, lets reserve for another episode.
The plot is getting interesting with Sancar and Nare as Henry’s Gift of Magi characters to deal with challenge of solving the puzzle in secrecy.
There is a message in the bottle to find home for a cast away (Nare), to help distress drift apart and searching for serendipity into fairy tale.
PS : Sancar’ s confrontation with Halise was good. His measure of Halise, Guven etc. as image hungry souls was served chill. ;-)
Ozet 10 bolum
Sancar follows a path to find the truth on his own. Bored to be the blind of the game.
He will throw the mask out of his eyes. He is not ready for what he will see, but this is a path of no return.
On the other hand, Nare is now trying to protect Sancar from the truths he had been shouting years before.
Her dad Güven to tell Akın's whereabouts is going to agree with Sancar for a large sum of money.
Nare's only solution is to secure Gediz's participation in this "auction" that her dad prepared for Akın.
Gediz, redistributes the deck and gives a new impetus to the auction.
The moves made by Yahya, who is oppressed by his own struggles to save Halise Efe, will push Sancar to the corner.
Sancar has to make a choice between his mother and Sefirin kizi. Elvan will make that choice for him.
