As the dizi comes to an end, we saw how a lovely relationship between two brothers faced numerous tribulations throughout the course of this show and ultimately got worse with time instead of being mended.
As for Kuzey, he was too flawed and somewhat annoying also initially, but with passage of time we understood that deep down he had a heart of gold and was often misunderstood by everyone.
Then there was Guney, who seemed just perfect and was everyone's beloved. But his perfection was not a very long-lived one, as we saw the grey-shades in him taking over his goodness. While Kuzey changed himself for good, Guney became worse with time.

I was too curious to see different shades in Guney but I have to agree that the writers went too overboard to show this character's evilness, because there were various instances where I just wondered- "Why is Guney doing this, why is Guney doing that, kya chal raha hai iske dimaag mein?" and what not! πŸ˜†πŸ˜† But if I speak about him as a whole (ignoring some OTT bits), then IMO he was a wonderfully written character.
Does anyone here remember, once I said that Guney's conscience is the biggest reason behind his evilness? I said this because he was an extremely weak & vulnerable person who could just never positively come to the terms with the fact that his brother took up his blame. He could never accept how Kuzey was bold and courageous while he himself didn't even have the courage to surrender to police.
In last episode when he shot the fire at Kuzey, that was not Guney trying to kill his brother. That was Guney trying to kill someone who had all the qualities that he himself didn't have. His hatred for Kuzey was the result of his own guilt, which he had because he could have saved his brother from going to jail only if he didn't let Kuzey take his blame.

While some might say that 'Guney showed his true colors with time', I stick to the fact that he was never evil since beginning. He was in fact just the opposite of what he became in last episode. He was a bright student, a doting son and a caring & loving brother. This is why I didn't wish to believe him when in the final confrontation scene he said "When Ferhat stabbed you in jail, I wanted you to die so that my guilt could lessen!". That was something really harsh a person would say about his brother and to think of Guney from initial episodes, its impossible to believe that he wanted Kuzey to die because of Ferhat.
This is similar to what Kuzey said to Cemre in an episode, something like "I was furious at Guney because he took you away from me, so I took the blame of that accident, just to punish him with the burden with guilt." Because at the time of incident he was not in the state to even think about Cemre, forget about punishing Guney!

The only thing which I didn't like in his character is that he wasn't even shown a bit guilty in the last scene. πŸ˜” I didn't like how both brothers were always against each other, but the writers could at least give us a little hope of their reunion in the last episode by showing Guney guilty.

Many a times Minik Tekinoglu gave me the vibes of Erdogan Yasaran, because IMO both come in the category of 'Highly Complex Characters' and not to forget that they both ruined their lives by their own deeds. One major similarity between these two is- Erdogan's confession letter is akin to Guney's confession in front of Kuzey. While Erdo thought that ultimately he was going to be doomed, Guney too was in the same boat after Banu's suicide. Both realized that nothing more was left for them to lose at those crucial moments, as a result of which their confession came out in open.

Sorry for this long post, but kya karoon, main hoon aadat se majboor.

And as I said that Kuzey/Kivanc was the star of Season One, I've got to admit that Guney/Bugra stole the Second Season. Yes ofc I'm a little more partial towards Bugra, but it's impossible to overlook how amazing Kivanc was in this dizi. He deserves to be complimented for portraying Kuzey. 😳 And my Bugsy, well, uske liye toh main essay likh sakti hoon!πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

This scene was πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί Damn my heart pinched with every word said by Banu. The way she jumped off the railing and Guney kept staring at her with teary eyes was just too surreal!

She was way too annoying and I was least bothered because of her actions, but seriously she didn't deserve such a horrible end. 😭 She suffered too much due to her own doings too anyway. -__- But she's not even to be blamed because of her mental condition.

But man, both Bade & Bugra nailed in this scene. ⭐️⭐️ Yeah even I'm surprised that I'm complimenting Bade because I didn't like her much, but she was truly amazing in this scene. 😳 I dunno how her artist must have dubbed in this scene, but I found her simply fabulous in the original version. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Thank you for accepting me as a silent reader of this DT.
If you read carefully, there is no mapping to an idealistic Ram, a villain Ravan or a second fiddle Lakshman.
All were concoctions of Karma - past, present and future.

Until another epic unites us in the Kumbh mela...

@Dummycim So Happy To See Your Post Here! πŸ€—
Trust me, your posts are so worth reading than some posts here. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
I loved loved how you drew parallels between FGSN and Mahabharata and KG = Ramayana. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
Though Miss JPKB remains unlisted. 🀣🀣
She can be one of those rakshasni's Raavan had in Ashok Vatika. 🀣🀣

@Rosyji Lovely Post And Analysis Of The Characters! πŸ€—
I think I don't have anything to say since I've cribbed a lot on both the DT's. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
But your minute observations to both Kuzey and Guney were so spot on. πŸ‘πŸ‘

@Aashi- Thnx so much hun for the last and final synopsis πŸ€—
Judging by it, it surely has a lot of KuCem and Guney acting like a maniac, so I'll probably going to pass watching it. But you never know with me πŸ˜†πŸ˜†, maybe one day I wake up and decide to watch the finale. If I ever do I'll post a review lol 🀣

Guney's biggest crime was laying eyes on Junglee Bel 🀣. I really feel both brothers need a thorough thrashing for this crime . Just imagine if there was no Junglee Bel "Na Hota Baans Na Bajti Bansuri" πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

@PinkyVids- Aww hun thnx for sharing those collages πŸ€—
The first Banu and Guney one is rather tragic, Banu seriously lost everything by falling for Guney, even her mind. Guney realizing his faults (if he ever did) was too little too late and Banu jumped off.

Guney in prison watching the plane go by πŸ˜†πŸ˜†, Am I the only one who thought it was a little filmy?? πŸ˜†.

KuCem on a Pleasure cum Business Trip, Thank Heavens we don't get to watch it!!🀣

@Shano- Shanocim πŸ€—
I so agree, the makers seem to have forgotten that the title of the show was Kuzey Guney, and they needed to pay attention to make it more about the brothers and how their relationship evolved over 2 seasons. But instead of showing what they were supposed to they made it all about a girl 😑 "Ek Anaar Do Bimar" story πŸ˜†.

I wouldn't recommend Kicking her to Mars, coz life may or may not be possible there🀣. Lets kick her to Mercury instead

@Dummycim- Girl you rock
Your posts are so so so so witty and awesome, I'm grinning so hard reading it!!
Having watched only half of the 2nd season, I think I understand your thoughts on reading the DT posts and understanding the show πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
Your Vitamin DGE refernce cracked me up, lol. All these Vitamins were given in excess to Guney resulting in Hypervitaminosis 🀣🀣

Broken nose Simay aka Shoorpnakha and Zeynep is Urmila, pleading Kuzey to love her πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
Banu's fair share of problems include bi-polar disorder, horrible make-up and styling and being reduced to a mere flower pot role 🀣🀣.

The best part remains Cemre being unlisted there too!!

Dummycim πŸ€—, you so knocked it out of the park with your awesome-licious post hun πŸ‘πŸ‘

@Aashi- Amazing write-up Aashicim πŸ€—. πŸ‘

You're so right, Kuzey and Guney, both brothers were very different from what they showed the world.
Kuzey had a rough exterior personality but inside he had a beautiful heart, while Guney on the inside was selfish and money-grubbing.
Like I've recently said, Guney's character had a lot of potential, in fact the most potential from all the characters. He could've come out as one of the most real and power pact character coz he initially showed both good and bad qualities. But the makers focused only on the bad ones and made Guney the ultimate villain.

I love how you compared the two characters of Guney and Erdogan, they both had grey shades throughout the series.πŸ‘πŸ‘

Trust me girls, I have even many more things to write about this show, but its just that I get too much involved in my own thoughts that I'm short of words. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

But the bottom line of my posts is always the same- I never liked JPKB because for me she was the reason behind both brother's clashes, and I always wanted a hope of reunion between Kuzey Guney which I never got, maalesef.

Anyway, now to a Bugralicious evening, here are some new pics of Bugs shared on IG. 😳

I made this post in Kivanc Thread on other forum, just sharing here also with you all-

Merhaba kzlar :4xvim2p:

As the dizi Kuzey Guney gets over for Indian viewers, let me take a moment to express how wonderful Kivanc was as Kuzey. :download:

He was definitely the show stealer for many episodes, in fact I'd say that he ruled the entire first season with his fine performance. Kuzey made us cry, he made us laugh, he even annoyed us many times, but above all, he was very loving & loyal and often misunderstood too. :sad-067: He suffered so much, had very few moments of happiness, and when he was finally seen happy at last, that was on the cost of being distanced from his brother forever (if it was meant to be that way :heartbreaking:).

IMO Kivanc was spot on in the following scenes-

1. The entire sequence of Ali's death. This will always be on first position for me. Ah, my heart broke into pieces when he screamed 'Kardesim'! :heartbreaking:

2. When he's thrown out of from Makara by Guney. Seriously, he hardly had a few words to speak in that scene, but he aptly expressed through his eyes. Oh, I still remember how bad I wanted to cry with him! :crysmiley2:

3. In the forest, when Ferhat asks Kuzey to choose between his love for Cemre & his revenge for Ali. Kivanc was remarkable in portraying Kuzey's dilemma at that moment. <3

4. The scene where Kuzey & Sami have a heart to heart talk just before Kuzey leaves. That was really a very lovely & poignant scene. :crying:

5. The final confrontation scene between both brothers. Can't even imagine what Kuzey must have went through while witnessing so much hatred for him in Guney's words. :dramaqueensmil:

I'm glad we Indian viewers were introduced to this Turkish talent too besides FGSN cast, Kivanc has surely earned numerous admirers here. :flirtysmile3: And I forgot to mention, a few weren't happy with the dubbing artist he got for Kuzey, but IMO his artist was really good for him. His tone & voice modulations totally suited the characteristics of Kuzey. :heartshape2: Although I have to admit that Kivanc himself has a lovely voice. :sLo_LoveCrazed:

I've not seen his other works properly except for KG (I watched Ask-i-Memnu & CvG but only a few episodes) yet I feel that Kuzey has been his best role so far. :feeldaluvsmiley:

Looking forward for his upcoming projects.

And this I posted in Bugra Thread.

Bugra needs some high praises for Kuzey Guney. Considering the fact that he too was a titular character along with Kivanc as Kuzey, I'm surprised how he is not related to the show as much as Kivanc is, because I feel both guys did full justice to their respective characters, irrelevant of the duration of scenes given to each of them. :pZflBRudGvo5t7ddaNQL: I do feel that Bugra is too underrated as an actor, especially when it comes to this dizi because IMO it isn't easy to play a character like Guney. I found his character the most interesting one, since he gave so many variations in his actions, emotions, and our Hotness just perfectly nailed it. He literally made me hate Guney a lot! Though I feel that he was made too much of a pislik...:14: I still remember when Guney began an affair with Melda, I was like- Niye ya?! :sFun_DeadHorse: And uff, the way he went manyak in last few episodes..! :D

While I stated some worth-watching scenes of Kuzey in Kivanc thread, here are some of Guney scenes which you shouldn't miss out-

1. When Guney comes home all drunk & has an argument with Sami (it was in second last episode of First Season) And Bugra said once that this was the toughest scene for him. Well, he should know how flawless he was in this entire scene. *ultimate worth-watching* :guntootsmiley2:

2. The scene where Kuzey takes up his blame & police arrests him. Infact the whole scene was well portrayed by him, as Guney went on pleading to Handan & Sami that he didn't commit the accident purposely... His body language was way too good. :e13733:

3. Ali & Kuzey's fake car accident plan. That scene made me hate Guney to the core, but Bugra was spot on with his expressions here! At one moment it looked as if Guney was ready to take the blame on himself, but right the next moment he showed his pislikness. :c2e1680c889b2c5dd5fea1ceeeaa5ce

4. Some really scary bits of Guney, like the one where he has a nightmare of killing Ferhat and then the ones where Banu had nightmares about Guney trying to kill her. :nervous:

5. The final confrontation scene of both brothers (I stated this one in Kivanc thread too, because they both were really good here.)

Bugra was already a known face to Indian viewers due to FGSN being aired previously, but he proved himself as one fine actor with Guney's portrayal. It isn't easy for an actor to do two back to back pislik characters but I'm just amazed by Vural & Guney. :noooway: I've seen his enough works to conclude that so far Guney has been his best character, followed by Vural & Fatih. :feeldaluvsmiley:

You were always welcome in this DT, Benim Dummycim. πŸ€— :*

@Bold- That's exactly what made your post even more intriguing. ⭐️⭐️ Like you stated Kuzey as Bharat to Handan but Laxman for Zeynep as Urmila. There was Guney who was termed as modern Ram for Handan and then for Banu, who ultimately had to go through sufferings as akin to Sita.

This is why I'm a jabra fan of your posts.

@Bold- Oh yes, that's a nice idea. πŸ˜› And she's even a Junglee Bel, so I can imagine her dressed up as one one of the rakshasni's and making a mala out of junglee phoolon ki bel, sitting in Ashok Vatika! 🀣🀣

And I know you've ranted a lot about every character, so we share similar views on almost every thing. πŸ€—

@Red- Lmao so in a way should we be thankful to JPKB that because of her this story happened?! 🀣🀣 But that's so true hun, had she not come between them then the two adorable Gadhe would be living happily together.
Oh my poor heart always pinches whenever I recall how once upon a time so much love existed between Kuzey & Guney. πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜

@Pink- You stole words outta my mouth. πŸ˜†πŸ˜† Though the way Guney was looking up at the sky, it seemed as if Istanbul has been a dry city since very long time and hence he was looking at the sky to check if there were any signs of rain or not. πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ˜†

Kya KuCem ke plane ko stare karna hai?! πŸ₯± Come to Rosy, Guneycim.😳 I'll show you better planes than that one. πŸ€ͺ🀣
