On what basis was the elimination? | Indian Idol Junior Season 2

First of all, I didn't watch yesterday's elimination. So I have no idea if the process was mentioned for the elimination of Vaishnav.

Last week, it was announced that the voting for the four finalists were up to 4th or 5th September 2015 if I am not wrong? (Please correct me if I am). If yes...then how was Vaishnav eliminated in the middle of the week (assuming the shooting with the Welcome back episode happened well before 5th Sept). On what basis was that elimination then when the voting lines were still open for Vaishnav till yesterday morning?

Honestly in this season of II J, the amount of logic applied by the makers is even less that certain 'long running, high trp' daily soaps( I hope you got which ones😆)

Sometimes there is confusion in the shoot and elimination( like Ajay, Shreelakshmi, Niharika) . There is no proper gala themes gives. And its better if we dont speak about judges' comments. Every performance, howsoever mediocre, is OUT-OF-THE-WORLD-FANTABULOUS for them. Every damn performance.

And so , acc to me. The reason/logic behind this saturday elimination is a mystery like the Burmuda Triangle and MH370 mysteries( except, these has some basic logic which I find is missing in the saturday elimination)

I know maine thoda bohot exaggerate kiya hai- but itna frustration toh banta hai for the Makers/channel butchering the show which had a glorious and logical season the previous year.

So they definitely messed up yesterday's elimination also? Very good...😆

I felt this season started off well like the previous season but went haywire from the middle. But yes, I would always have the complaint that the top 13 was itself not the best in the first place.

Anyway...I think the eliminations have been fair enough though the reason behind the eliminations were a mystery. I don't have any problems with the order of eliminations either. I think it was fine enough.

But eliminating Vaishnav was Why did they want an elimination just before the finale day? 😕 Also shouldn't the 4 be called Top 4 instead of Top 4 finalists then? What's the use of calling Vaishnav a finalist when he isn't in the final?

Yes..though I didn't have much issues with the order of elimination, I felt Niharika could have been eliminated before Shreelaxmi. My POV .

And yeah I agree with you in the top 13 part . I mean, even I felt that the selection of top 13 itself went a bit here-and-there.

But yes, what totally confuses me in Vaishnav's elimination is the fact that even after the shoot was completed and he was eliminated, his Voting lines were open and the ads were on air showing the 'vote for your top4' thing, which showed vaishnav too clearly showing that his voting lines were open.

That js so wierd. I mean if the shoot is completed then what is the thing in keeping the voting lines open.

Maybe I have missed something, or the system of the show defies logic😆

So if I have missed something, someone please enlighten me😆

PS- About calling Vaishnav finalist :P Yeah I guess the makers will call the top4 as finalists and the top 3 as 'Grand Finalists' 😆. Can't say what was going on the minds of the Makers/Channel heads😆😆😆 #Makers'Logic :P

I feel that the elimination was based on the voting itself that was till the 4th at some particular time. What these guys are doing (and is confusing) is that the part with the guests is recorded beforehand and the results on another day. That is why all the guests leave before the elimination.. And on Saturday, even Salim left 'early' saying he would not be available for the finale shooting (that was on Thursday evening/night) which means he was not present for Vaishnav's elimination that was recorded just before the finale was recorded..

I really don't understand why II and Sony are so keen on getting external celebs and because of their time restraints, land up confusing viewers and spoiling their own reputation..

@Bold- Exactlyyy. That is EXACTLY what they are doing. Spoiling their own brilliant reputation that they had made for themselves in IIJ season 1.

Season 1 was brilliant and it actually made a benchmark. That was one reason everyone was eagerly watching out for season 2. But who knew that Sony and makers were going to butcher the show in season 2😭

@BullsEye777 That makes sense. So celebrities leave...and the elimination happens another day where everyone dresses up in the same costume..😆

So Vaishnav elimination episode and then the finale must have been shot on the same day probably. What a waste! They could have shown Top 4 and announced the winner and runner alone.

Vaishnav repiled in his official fb page that The eliminatn is shoot yesterday...so they may be dressed up in the same costumes and did the shooting

I swear Shwetha lets start a research on this.We have anyways been part of 'ridiculous TV channel plans' research since genda phool days with SP.Sony needs our intervention.😆

Was the elimination done to show an all girls finale for the first time in any reality show?

Elimination is based on 50% public voting and 50% judge's score.Thats what the anchor say before elimination.Vaishnav got the maximun standing ovation from the judges.Even Ananya was on bottom 3.So the people got least standing ovation from judges are on top 3.Contradictory to their own judgement..Generally whoever Salim support turned out to be the winner.

Vaishav elimination has no justification he deserved to be on top 3,No reality show in india will end up without politics.🤢
