Since what season have you been watching Indian Idol?

I watched from the first till the third season.
But lost all interest when Prashant Tamang won!!

Infact my favourites - Rahul Vaisya, Amit Sana, Amey Date and NC Karunya never won.
But after Prashant Tamang won, i didn't see the point of watching.

After that this is the first season I'm watching.

PS - I also watched the junior version when Anjana Padmanabhan won.

I started watching from season 5 or 6 not sure about the number, the one in which sourabhee debbarma was the winner. Then sriram season and now the present season.

It was during sourabhee's season when my dad agreed to put cable tv at home, so I guess I missed some initial good seasons.

Season 2 onwards excluding Idol Junior.
Prashant winning over Amit Paul was totally unfair. Another heartbreaking n shocking moment was Amey Date's exit..even judges were upset over it. I'm rooting for him in Rising Star now :)

I watched a few episodes of rising star, only for Amey date.
Unfortunately he's not as good anymore.
I know he had a bad throat during chunar but I didn't like him in the duel round either. He was better than Pankaj who was also unfortunately not very well.

Watched S1& 2 religiously. Gave up after Karunya lost in S2. Saw tidbits in S3 and 4. Did not see anything in S5 and then saw s6 only for Sriram. Followed both junior seasons and now watched S7 up until they got Manya back. Now just watch a couple of performances online based on your reviews here, but will surely not watch next season again if there is one.

I used to watch SRGMP until Kamal Khans season, gave up after that. Don't watch anything that has Himesh as judge. Also don't watch anything that has besura modern judges ( the ilk of Mika, Niti, Neha Kakkar, YoYo and what not etc). Watching Rising star for the reappearance of the old contestants from other shows , such as Ameya, Shreyasi, Anmol,shraddha, Kartiki etc. Sad that most of these singers (barring a few) are not doing so good and have not improved. Impressed by Maithili on rising star and probably will watch for some more time until it goes astray.

I watched the first 3 seasons then lost interest. After all these years I started watching again. I used to watch Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for a couple of seasons, first 2 seasons of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs and Chote Ustad on SP. I watched these shows mainly because of Sonu Nigam.
