Indian Idol 2, India's biggest talent hunt on the telly, is rolling into its final episodes.
With the whole country rooting for the two young boys-Karunya from Hyderabad and Sandeep from Bikaner, the duo knows that their future is in the hands of the audience.
As part of the high voltage campaign for the finals, N C Karunya, a Telugu who sings flawlessly in Punjabi, is in the City to garner support.
Confident of his talent, he eagerly awaits support from his fans. "This is my last chance to win and I need your blessings and support, Ehe admits.
An Abhishek Bachchan lookalike, Karunya's stunning performance has made the Indian Idol stage come alive like never before. He is the only South Indian to have come so far in this contest.
TV viewers across the country have fallen in love with his melodious voice and have followed closely the changes in his appearance with the progress of the show. At the first step itself despite a bad throat the young lad had managed to rustle up viewer votes, indicating that he had a strong and loyal fan following!
Karunya says, "I am very confident, but that is not enough. I also need public support. I gave up my engineering degree and left Hyderabad only to become the Indian Idol and not to be a mere runner-up.
"Yet if I don't win the title, that won't spell the end of it all to me. Maybe God has bigger plans for me.Ebr>
The fear of elimination in the finals has peaked his effort levels. "I am really clueless about viewer support. The other contestant might get a lot of votes from his place. But it is better I focus on my singing.Ebr>
