Hmmmm.. I loved the original track sung by Kumar Sanu.. 😊

Let me make it clear, I am not at all comparing her to Kumar Sanu's singing at all. There is not enough clarity in this singing if we compare it to the rest of the two singers in this competition. The expressions are weak, not bad, but they do not grab you as they should, as this is a live performance. Voice is not in control properly. Alka ji tries her best to retain some magic in there, but I really didn't connect with it. Disappointed with it. Overall, would like to say that it was a good effort, no doubt, it is difficult to sing live.

First off I'm kind of surprised that most of you think she is not a strong live performer. I feel otherwise and I am not being biased. I think she is a very strong live performer!

Secondly her attempt for singing a "male" song deserves some credit at least! This isn't a female song, yet she attempted to sing it and did quite well to that extent. Yes it is not as strong as the other two selections for the other two singers, BUT neither is it that horrible.

Honestly I think Alka ji is one of the best "live" singers ever! Not because she's my favorite, but because she truly knows how to pull off a performance on stage most of the times!

As I've mentioned in my earlier posts singing live is NOT easy! It is just as difficult as singing in the studio! Her expressions were fabulous in this performance. Everything was fantastic in this performance. Obviously it wasn't as strong as she sung in the actual movie. But nevertheless it was a strong performance.

What impressed me more is that she took a song that was completely Kumar ji dominated. For me it is wrong in putting a comparison between two singers of a different gender. Alka ji has her ways, Kumar ji has his ways. And you simply cannot put a comparison between two singers of the different gender.

Yes I did feel that his particular performance wasn't as strong as the other two, but by no means does that say that Alka ji is not a good live performer. She is one of the best live performers we have.

You simply cannot expect a singer to perform better than the studio! Because I've noticed that with most singers, including Alka ji, cannot pull it off well in a live performance as they do singing in the studio. There is a huge difference.

I enjoyed this performance of hers though regardless of what most think!

This is not a 'male' song 😕 Alkaji does sing an antara in this song!

yeah she sings an antara but the song is clearly dominated by kumar ji...

dream, WTH, are you day dreaming? I said that I liked her singing but her body language left too much to be desired..she looked tired...her performance could have been more energetic, isnt it? She was just too dull.

Are we judging the singing or her moves lol !! grow up !! or are you really influenced by reality TV that much so you think a singer should care more about the dance or moves to attract the audience rather than singing the song nicely and let the audience enjoy???

so you go to A. R. Rehman shows to see his moves than to listen to his composition if you will ever go won't you ??

CK your judging is purely based on the body language....then what about the singing ??

do you think yourself as a good judge for this competition? Final round and you have done it like many times judging but for the final moment you judge something else??
