Great song! And great singing by Alka!


Even in 2008, Alka shows she still is one of the top female playback singers. She still has great voice quality. Her voice still does suit young actresses.

In this song, she had great expressions complimenting her great voice quality, and there were many areas she shined. I mostly liked how she sang the lines "Tu Muskara" main lines, they were near perfect, her voice didn't over/under project, just enough to make the perfect feel for the song.

And then in some post-main lines, she also excelled, singing well and adjusting to the tempo. One area though I think she wasn't that good was the high pitches. Her voice thinned at the high pitches. That was probably the most difficult portion as well.

And then the whole "aaaaahhaaaa" ending was very well executed. Great singing here overall! Hopefully this Round she finds her way back to the Top 3.

Take it easy shreyacool. I was quite surprised to see a song like Tu Muskura, a beautiful rendition by alka & well composed by ARR & also filmfare nominated song getting a 1. Beautiful music, not sure abt her voice though...Benefit of doubt and give her a 7.

hmmmm... welll..first time I heard this song.. maybe its just me.. but I just could not feel the depth I would not hab thought it was ALKA YAGNIK if it wasn't for this poll But then she is not horrible either.. just that I would have expected more of her... So a 7 for her...
