I don’t think Arunita would have any problem with sustained notes or breath control, which is what really matters. She may have a silken voice, and that can be an advantage with reference to conventional playback singing, and it doesn’t lack depth. If it did, Mohe Rang or Satyam Shivam or Ek Radha Ek Meera wouldn’t have created as strong impact. Those were iconic renditions. Will her voice stand out though amongst all others in these competitive times, enough for her to make a solid career? That, time will tell.
But an earlier point that I think it was you who had brought in regards a bit of pathos gone missing in the Kalank number- that I agree, and not in comparison to any other artist. The lyrics deserve a bit more of pathos- so that is more a matter of expression. Anyway, nothing can be said before listening to the entire song 🤞As for Pawan, he has already created a niche for himself and both artists come with their own skillsets and leave different impressions.
