I haven't posted here except once, but just want to say this used to be a good place to visit. It's still good for catching up when I haven't yet watched (and want to gauge whether I should), but some of the "appreciation" threads seem more like dissing members who have different opinions. The forum is kind of like a house divided.
It is very difficult to remain an unprejudiced observer. Actually imo the whole show is scripted except for the singing and each contestant is playing the role essayed according to the script which the makers are passing as real to the viewer and any criticism opens up a can of worms and ends in a fight and issuing clarifications, each one is guarding their fort from any attack, each one is so emotionally attached to these celebrity singers that one cannot express opinions freely without hurting someone.
So let peace prevail this way !
This weekend special is just an entertainment to reach 100 songs. time pass. in my opinion so no offence. mostly it was MBD with good comments.

Absolutely. While Anu is an acclaimed besura king, I must say Neha too didn’t disappoint me , since I went ‘ oh no!’ as soon as she started the iconic song. 😂. Just for horrors sake - imagine a duet between the besura king & auto tune queen , that too live. 😱😳😩😁
And she commented ‘ I can’t sing like this’ to Sayli, if I remember correctly. I was nodding my head in the affirmative, but Anu piped in that it is a compliment.... and I almost fell ... 😠😁
Neha Madam expressed her feelings about song sung by Sayli Kishore Kamble that it would be difficult to sing such typical song, consequently, this day has been taken by Sayli Kishore Kamble for the best performance.
I liked saturday 8 May 2021 all performances but I want to prefer Sayli, Sawai, Nihal and SMP.
On Sunday 9th May 2021, I did not watch this episode so far but according to Promos I like performance of Anjali Gaikwad

Nihal and Saili - best performances
Savai and SMP - 2nd best
Judges singing constantly - disaster verbal loose motions
Anu Malik - sounded like ravana getting his tooth pulled
Neha - singing toh chhodo, what's with acting out songs with idiotic expressions
Himesh - village bufoon karey fairy dance fairy dance fairy dance fairy dance
Overall -contestants got half the duration, the rest taken by besura antakshari by the 3 idiots
Sad to notice, poor Pawan still sounded weak from his recent illness
