It is a show where there is no public voting. Judges call all the shots. The panel had Mika and Akriti Kakkar amongst others. They seemed to promote female versatile singers in the mould of Arunita/Sireesha - but the finals panel had Shankar Mahadevan and K.K. plus the regular judges, and they chose a folk singer as the top choice. He was the least fancied amongst the top 4 by a long distance. One of the biggest upsets in this very popular regional show that had sent singers like Soumya Chakraborty to Indian Idol.

Actually you may be able to google the most favoured contestants who are popular child artists at the national level - Niharika Nath and Anushka Patra. They lost.

I honestly did not follow the show. Of those who performed I knew the two I mentioned from National age-level shows. So I would sometimes catch up with their performances on Zee5. Both are good and can be expected to try for Indian Idol in a couple of years.
