Gattu had told Jugnu that his mother died on the day he was born. Not even three weeks later, this fact has been retconned with Gattu's flashback of watching his mother the bar singer being sexually harassed.

As a child, Gattu wanted to defend his mother. As an adult, his motivation has done a 180° spin, and he blames any victim in a similar situation. He doesn't seem to feel any resentment for his rich father and the Chaudhary family who presumably let him spend his childhood in a disreputable bar, watching sexual overtures. In fact, he justifies his father's dalliance with his mother, saying that it's Alaka's fault for not giving her husband the love and respect he deserved!

Where does this character find motivation for his sadistic misogyny?

Imlie^3 has an unconscious woman in front of her. A nurse calls from a hospital to summon her. How does Imlie^3 respond?

Does she tell the nurse that she needs an ambulance to pick up an unconscious woman at the Chaudhary mansion? Surely riding along in an ambulance would get her to Ashu in the hospital faster than any other conveyance.

No. Imlie^3 calls Gattu so that he can come home from wherever he may be, and then take his Dādī to the hospital. In case Dādī is dead by then, Gattu can call the police to arrest Imlie^3 who will still be pedalling her cycle-rickshaw along the road.

Wait if Agastya's mother died after his birth then how come he watched her being sexually harassed. Am I missing something?

I wrote, "this fact has been retconned." Retroactive continuity = retcon means that the audience must forget established facts to appreciate the narrative of the moment.

Imlie episodes are still coming on hulu, just search up Imlie in search bar, than you will see 2 Imlie shows popping up. They added a seperate section for season 2.

When Gattu was signing the business transfer agreement, I noticed that Annapurna signs her name अन्नापूर्णा देवी.

It should be अन्नपूर्णा = अन्न + पूर्णा = food + bountiful, a name of the Mother Goddess that is appropriate for the founder of Chaudhary Sweets.

Whichever producer (or the actress herself?) signed the document inverted the meaning by adding one upright line to the signature.

अन्नापूर्णा = अन्न + अपूर्णा = food + deficient.

What does everyone think; is the person responsible ignorant or subversive?

Hello.

I started watching Imlie in and off only from the 2nd gen. And I didn't find it interesting. But now Sai and Adirja are setting screen on fire. I am hooked to this show although the story isn't new. smiley36

Only kings name their sons after their relatives like akbar 2 or william 2 or arthur 2 etc

I have never heard of common ppl giving their name to their son or grandson

May be 3-4 gen down someone may give not immediate 3 gens
