While preparing food, Imlie^3 is blowing aerosols from her mouth over the flour ...

dipping her bare hands into flour, and sprinkling silver foil and nuts with her bare hands ...

touching her eyes and face ...

putting tamarind fruit into her mouth and spitting it onto her hands ...

Yet Gattu only asks her why she's using her hands instead of the dough-kneading machines ...

not why she's using her bare hands instead of gloves ...

Gattu says that flour on the floor makes the kitchen unhygienic! What about the super chef's oral microbiota, sweat and sebum?

Her whole cooking experience reminded me of those videos of Indian street food cookers I saw on facebook. smiley37

Exactly, I was still ok with her kneading the dough with bare hands but she literally blowing the attah with her mouth and Agastya had no complaints infact he was niharofying her with lovey dovey eyes, with ‘jaaniye’ playing in his head. Probably coz she is rich Niyonika so she can do it, had it been Poor Imlie, he would have ripped her apart.

This is what happens when a MBA tries to expand his business with an intention to make more money but doesn’t have any basic knowledge of how business is run. Before getting MBA had he enrolled in some professional culinary school or joint a top hotel as an intern & learnt some basic techniques & how thing works in a kitchen then probably he could have properly trained the chef working in his shop. An MBA knows how to sell a product but he doesn’t know how it’s made, these are two different things.

lets understand Agastya’s goal is to expand his family business and make it world class and for that he entirely depends on his Chefs culinary expertise, he himself doesn’t have any basic knowledge of how his business works nor he is invested in training his chefs to international standards. Did we see Agastya make a single dish to prove his knowledge, No. He thinks he knows to run business coz he did MBA from London where rich & affluent guys get admitted due to their financial background. The reason why the criteria to participate in ‘Choudary sweet competition’ was how the candidates were dressed & the their footwear brand and not basic culinary degree or real talent.

Agastya’s manager denied Imlie the entry pass coz she was poorly dressed while Agastya gave the chance to Nyonika just seeing her getting down from her car all dressed up in a wedding attire. He appointed her immediately after he tasted the halwa, but didn’t bother to see how she cooked it. Did he like the halwa coz it was nice or did he like coz Nyonika made it??? He doesn’t care coz according to him rich ppl are naturally talented to know how to do it and whatever they do is classy.

I don’t expect imlie to know much coz she runs a small dabha in her village, onus lies on Agastya to train his chefs properly if he wants to take his business internationally but unfortunately he himself lacks the knowledge which he is in no mood to realize.

I’m enjoying this season so far. I didn’t like the story of imlie 1 so I quit watching within a few weeks. I watched imlie 2 intermittently but more regularly when dariya entered..I really liked his character..and I’m enjoying imlie 3 now.

You named a character that you liked in Imlie (2nd gen). Could you be specific about what you like in Imlie (3rd gen), and why?

So as I predicted Agastya did pull the rug under Imlie’s feet. That was so mean of him to do. I understand he got hurt coz of her lie, but how much it would have taken for him to realize, she lied coz he didn’t value her truth when she tried initially. It’s not like she robbed him, he could have confronted her and fired her from the job but he ensured that she got arrested. This shows how vindictive he is. But then what can we expect from a guy who hates poor ppl coz they are poor.

As much as I feel sorry for imlie but she set herself into this trap the moment she decided to pretend as rich when she clearly knew his attitude towards poor ppl. She trusted the wrong guy with her talent. Never expect anything from a narcissist coz they can never prioritize anyone above themselves or what they think.

So Agastya agreed to marry Nyonika, coz she is rich, beautiful traditional religious & respects elders then why not propose her for a contract marriage too why go to unethical bar girl. How I wish dadi had taught her potha some basic manners to just respect people and not for what & who they are!!!

I understand how you see the situation, but I'm not convinced that vindictiveness is the basis for Gattu getting Imlie^3 arrested.

Gattu intercepted a policeman because he thought it had to be a mistake that they were chasing respectable Miss Johri. After learning that the same woman was bar singer Imlie^3, he truthfully answered another policeman's direct question about where to catch her.

Sure, Gattu was angry at Imlie^3 and resolved to ruin her, but is that why he told the truth? You or I, witnessing a woman collapsing while running from the police, might feel compassion, but would we willingly become an accessory to whatever crime she might have committed, by lying to police so that she could escape?

Instead of ranting about how he let a dirty person into the mandira of Chaudhary Sweets where Dādī's business is pūjā (an unmistakable allusion to caste-based exclusion from actual temples), Gattu should have used critical thinking to reach the logical conclusion: the super chef who won over investors with her cooking is Imlie^3, a bar singer, so it's good that he gave her an opportunity.

For Dādī to teach manners, she would first have to learn manners. In my fan fiction, I tweaked Annapurna's character so that she wants Gattu to outgrow his prejudices, but the canonical Annapurna on the show, who shut the door in Kairi's face, is just as prejudiced against poor people as Gattu is.

By the way, Gattu only asked "Why are you chasing Noyonika?" but the first policeman replied, "Who's Noyonika Johri?" as if Gattu had said her full name. Which actor flubbed his line?

The swear words "G** d*** it ," used by Gattu on the September 28 episode, are offensive even to Christians who are desensitized to "d*** it" and other swearing like Gattu saying, "bloody con artist!"

Including the word "God" in profanity means "taking the Lord's name in vain." The third of the Ten Commandments prohibits disrespecting God like this.

I'm surprised that Indian TV isn't more careful about religious sensibilities.

I would have agreed had he not indulged in the self ranting of letting a cheap bar girl enter his Mandir and pollute the Puja. Him getting her arrested was more to do with his sense of betrayal & disgust of associating with her than what wrong she could have probably done. Sonali compromised with the quality of sweets for profits, did he get her arrested or shut the shop on moral grounds, instead he chose to pay more money to shut the case. Why get a poor girl arrested for a lie which he somewhat forced her to tell.

This!!!! this is the issue, the most triggering thing about Agastya from the beginning is his worst thinking. The guy unapologetically thinks that he has a right to judge & look down upon ppl who don’t match to his standards and humiliates them every goddamn time. Just because imlie is poor & works in a bar, he thinks she is some kind of dirt and he will get contaminated with her association. It’s out & out inhumane & evil thinking coz he is directly questioning their existence & way of life. This is totally unacceptable. Not everyone is as privileged as him, she is poor but talented and she took the best opportunity available to her to make a living. Constantly mocking others life choices is nothing less than questioning their existence, rights & respectability & this behavior is quite despicable. I can never warm up to this guy.

I said this before Agastya is the way he is coz of his brought up. Irony is Agastya thinks poor ppl & bar girls like imlie pollute the society but it’s ppl like Choudary’s who contaminate the society with their Stone Age mindset and hamper progress.

By the way, Gattu only asked "Why are you chasing Noyonika?" but the first policeman replied, "Who's Noyonika Johri?" as if Gattu had said her full name. Which actor flubbed his line?

Everyone is dressed up for the engagement, but Gattu looks like he threw a bathrobe over his pajamas. It wouldn't have taken much effort to find clothes that were more dignified for the occasion.

Gattu and Noyonika together were an eyesore of burgundy. The wardrobe team should have chosen complementary colours.
