I totally understand being out of the loop of fanfic writing (used to dabble myself) but this was so well written! I love the introspection you've given Aditya (our teasing his poor journalistic skills aside 😆).

Aryan and Imlie were kept in character, Aditya was provided some form of closure ... this is such a classy way to portray the juncture their lives are at.

In addition, I liked the analogy of life and death as I've associated Adi to a sense of decay many a times ... he chooses to waste away

Thank you, Moksha! Yep, I wanted AKT to do some introspection given how clueless of his faults they've shown him to be. If he truly was a successful journalist at any point, he couldn't have been so without having the ability to analyze, assess, and then conclude.

I've not seen any of this show before the entry of ASR, but it annoys me to see a potentially successful professional being made a fool of. To see him so gullible and easily manipulated is annoying. So I decided to at least show him finally applying his professional capabilities to the mess that his lie has become.

I'm glad you picked on the life and death analogy, especially because it was called out only by a couple of you guys who read this. 😆

If you do happen to read this again, don't hesitate to share your thoughts again! I'll look forward to them.

I promise you, I was going to wait till tonight because I am at work right now. But I read one line, then I read the next, and I just couldn't bear to leave it unfinished. You pulled me in with such ease that I didn't even realise when I got to the end!

This flowed so well! I could see the frustration Aditya was experiencing, be it before, during or after the couch scene. That voice that niggles at him, telling him not to lie to himself- that was a nice touch.

And omg how effin cute was her concern for checking the wounded eyebrow! I'm so glad you weaved that in because the whole fandom wanted some show of concern about that injury (writers make up for TV letting us down once again!).

I was grinning like an utter fool reading about Imlie not letting him sleep any night for the rest of his life. I'm sure that made Aryan all kinds of happy 🤣The whole couch scene was so aesthetically done. The domestic vibes coming off them was just *insert chef's kiss*

I am SO glad this was from Aditya's POV. An Aditya that we saw GM turn into but never saw him act as. The hate, anger, realization, hurt, betrayal, acceptance. There was the whole gamut of emotions to uncover here and you hit every point.

Egle, thank you so much! Your comment brought a smile to my face. 😆 I was honestly skeptical about this piece. At one point I was so done I just wanted to trash it because I felt it wasn't making sense. But then I took a deep breath and reassessed and realised what tweaks I needed to make for it to work. And I'm glad it worked out, especially seeing all the fantastic reviews that people have left on it.

I think we're all sick and tired of AKTs reactions, or the lack thereof, and his sense of being victimized so I felt like something like this was in order.

About AryLie, hehe, yeah, Imlie’s lack of sufficient concern for his eyebrow injury drove us all mad, but then we were fools to expect something given how she never bothered about him after literally spearing his clavicle. 🤣 So, yeah, decided to take matters in my own hands. Imlie dialogue about not letting him sleep reminded me of all the pyaasis on this forum and what they'd make out of it. 🤣

Thank you, Reeha! AKT's double standards make it impossible for people to connect with him, especially when he's presented himself to be righteous all along. It all comes across as all talk and no play.

Thank you! Yep, I was a little hesitant about this piece because it had so much of AKT with AryLie on the fringes, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. The difference between AKT and ASR for Imlie is very evident to the audience but will AKT ever see that himself? I'm doubtful. So I tried to explore that in this piece.

Imlie trusts Aryan more than she has ever admitted – at least not till the hug in the recent episode. I wanted to bring that out subconsciously and having her asleep was the best way to do it.

I do plan to write more on these two. Will keep you tagged!

It's really beautiful. Loved that you have made this from Aditya's point of view. Showing his inner turmoil and failures that he seems to refuse to accept.

The budding relationship that Aryan and Imlie have is also beautifully written. The trust you they share is lovely. And that seems to be the most important thing "TRUST" that she didn't receive from Aditya!

You have definitely created suspense as well cause a few times I expected him to rush out and scream at them 😃!

Thank you! Yep, looks like all of us do want to see AKT think about his role on the failure of his marriage, which he isn't doing, and so seeing him do it here has helped. 😆

Aryan has managed to weave his way into Imlie's life in such a way that Imlie has no choice but to trust him. He's won her trust through his constant support of her.

Hahah, we know how fickle, impatient and jealous AKT can be so I'm not surprised you thought he'd run to them and scream. 🤣 If the purpose of this fic may have been something else, maybe I would have had him do that. 😆

yes i cannot wait to see what else you've got coming! it's interesting because i joined the show this past december after seeing an arylie edit so adi at some point must have been worth rooting for (i wouldn't have been able to enjoy the first part of the show myself, 34/18 is too much) but the adi i saw from the november eps that i caught up and some key episodes here and there has been so callous and rude so that it was really nice to see him be a little more introspective here!
