Haan I am ok with double dose of guilt trip as long as he start thinking in the right direction. ...
But dream ho ya practice, Tripathis ko to Bhagwan hi Bachaye ye Imliya se....
LOL but what exactly IS the right direction right now?😆
Whether it's a dream or practice, I think given Adi's general tendencies, he will guilt trip and then blame Imlie completely for any shifts between them.
Which is why I feel it's more likely it will be a dream and Imlie will try to hide her feelings from him while still feeling guilty....Adi will remain clueless for a while 😆....and the next phase might be Imlie ka one-sided silent love for him because she will presume he only loves Malini and can never want her.

i wouldn't say he dislikes it as such.. did he specifically mention that?? i don't recall as such i think he was more irritated toh in that sense temporary irritation main keh dia but yeah it was th ehighlight in a way how he rejected something that was brought by malini and looked like she specifically got that caz she cared but she didn't actually know him itna bhi ke whether that will provide comfort or no😆
Yeah, I got the same sense.....he doesn't dislike green tea as such, but in that moment he was more irritated with Malini and didn't want anything from her that is why he kept insisting that he already got chai from Imlie so he will have that only😆
Irony is that Imlie didn't even make the chai.....chai toh Sundar ki thi🤣
Malini was trying in her own way to show concern and help with his headache but her efforts were sort of in the too little too late zone by then.
I do have to say I appreciated how they showed that entire conversation building up so naturally as an argument between them.....how two people hold things inside themselves when they are hurt, then when it comes out, there is resentment sometimes, then bitterness....then hurt grows....like Malini seemed surprised that Adi is blaming her for this. She seemed totally clueless that this is all stemming from 7 years of build up and it's not just this one time of the car being sent by her mom.
Adi's one line about "shaadi se pehle you must have thought it's romantic to have a middle class bf" also showed that he is feeling that shaadi has changed things between them cuz now she is officially his responsibility and not just a girlfriend he goes out with.....yeh subtle shifts that happen with shaadi need to be talked through but neither Adi or Malini seem to get that as they are busy being in their own bubbles of presumptions about each other.
I am glad to be among friends here and thank you for welcoming me. It was crazy with work and stuff and could not reply as I would have liked to. 😊 I recall the good ole days of IB until it all went south.. hehehe... but still there are some good memories.
I think Malini likes Adi's family but does not get their simplicity, their inherent good nature, who deal with issues in a mature manner, as a joint family with no rancor. Look at Rupali and how they are mindful of her situation at all times. They are troubled to see their daughter like that but supportive and loving at the same time.
Look at how they took to Imli and now treat her as one of their own. They are so protective of imli and vice versa. All this is foreign to Malini and can never understand the dynamics of a joint family. She has blocked her mind to the UGLY situation at home and may have retreated into lala land, where she is safe and protected at all times. Maybe that is her way of coping with tough situations. She never had a good example in her own home.
This is such a good point, Nim.
Yes, Malini LIKES Adi's family, but she doesn't really GET them....there's a difference that will always remain because fundamentally their nature does not align with Malini's.....you can both be good but still be different.
Malini has grown up in a different atmosphere where everything gets dealt with differently.....she is a sweet, affable person in general....but in terms of actually managing conflict, which will inevitably arise in a big family...I don't think she's that equipped emotionally.
I've felt from day one that Imlie and the Tripathis instantly clicked because their value systems align....especially in terms of apnapan....they both have the knack of making a person feel apna within minutes....and that is why they've clicked so well.
Malini is a very nice person, but I still feel Tripathis dote on her more because she is connected to them through Adi....while with Imlie, they've grown to love her for herself.

Whether dream or practice, I think we are going to start seeing the push and pull situations. It already started right, one day fight, one day patch up They have already established that there is compatibility and understanding between them, care and trust are creeping in. So the next logical step would be attraction which was always there ( remember the photos he kept clicking of her) but now should be the realization of an attraction. But the more he feels the pull toward her, the more he is going to push her away, the more she will be hurt.
Guilt is always going to be present, that’s never going to go away till Malini is there. But the only way, that it will be negated would be the realization that Imlie ho ya no ho, he and Malini are not compatible, that they are good friends, that their relationship was more of an “aadat” that they had both got used to rather than love/companionship.
Imlie feelings are going to start surfacing as you said after the precap scene which they should because the truth can only come out once both of them have realized and accepted their feelings internally.

@bold: Yes, I agree with that. There were glimmers of this in yesterday’s AI argument as well where they were both struggling with deeper emotions they haven’t realized or verbalized yet.
Denial runs much deeper in Adi so it will have to be Imlie who becomes conscious of her changing feelings first.
Adi will push Imlie away in guilt at even the smallest sign of feeling a draw towards her. And I still think him realizing his incompatibility with Malini will be a bigger challenge because the story will keep thrusting Imlie in between them unwittingly to give him a scapegoat to blame for his failing relationship rather than understanding that the failure is independent of Imlie.
A much much better episode!! This is exactly how the episodes should be in general. They should keep Aditya-Imlie's equation and Aditya-Malini'e equation completely seperate. There should be no or very little overlap. That's the only way to go about this very tricky plot and they did an excellent job in the episode.
Really glad that the rickshawallah scene didn't turn out to be silly at all. It was the same firecracker Imlie. The scene between Aditya and Imlie was really sweet. I really like how Imlie can bring out this lighter side of Aditya so effortlessly. The scene where Aditya kept on smiling to himself long after Imlie was gone from the room basically capture their relationship. It's very organic. This is exactly how their relationship should progress, completely sepearete from the Aditya-Malini track.
Gashmeer acted really well today. How he let out Aditya's long held frustration was very nicely done. What stood out for me was how Aditya said to Malini, let's not talk about it and pretend nothing is wrong in our relationship. Seems like one thing he is realising or getting used to from his interaction with Imlie is opening up. He doesn't feel like holding everything inside or pretending everything is hunky-dory anymore. Imlie is slowly bringing out the real Aditya without any of them realising it.
It was nice to see Malini finally confronting her mom. Maybe she didn't do it before because she didn't want to antagonize her mom. Now that she is married, she has every reason to. Not sure why Dev keeps on mentioning Imlie's name infront of Anu even after knowing how much that upsets her. Maybe that's to show the lack of understaning in their relationship or how insensitive they are towards each other's feelings. I think it was also signification how quickly the focus shifted from Aditya-Malinit's problem to Dev-Anu's problem. Most probably Malini was always so eager to get away from her parent's problems, she most probably never had the courage to see the cracks in her own relationship. Growing up in a bitter household most probably made her an escapist.
I really liked Imlie and Sundar's scene. There is something really pleasant about their friendship.
Precap - I was like "woah!! What was that?" 😳😆 Pretty sure it's either Imlie's imaginaton or they are acting out Aditya's apology to Malini.
My fav. bit today was this:
"Gyaanvati, Mahaan, PRASHANSANIYA Imlie JI"🤣
And in response, Imlie ka "JI"?😆
Mera bhi!! 😆
