I was planning to make a separate post on your post on this.. I actually liked it for these reasons too.. isko daant main bhi ek different shade tha aaj and I liked how he didn't let her get away with her usual mood deflect karne wale reasons

He does feel betrayed ke she tried to fast and upset his happy life by the whole drama that happened though notice he still never objected on her actually fasting.. he was upset about the drama it caused and what could have been the repurcussions on his married life he never said mere liye kyon vrat kia.. his major point was why this show and humari zindagi ka sukoon is being bothered.. and yes those terms were notable nakli rishta vishwaas kia tha.. caz yes beleive it or not it did feel like some kind if haq xhahiye parade all of a sudden from.imlie and am glad he said that this si what it looked like to him and made him backtrack and go to his sakht wala shell...

My fav was also him pointing out ke yeh koi competition hai kya between you and malini caz this si what it looks like and we have all said it too ke yeh apne mann se hi ek competition and barabari wala thing chalu ho gaya hai... and that was what was bringing Imlie so down from past few days .. and him saying that isn't necessary at all

It is quite impressive ke he did have built those expectations ke imlie will live like she was and never bother her and he will be able to just kinda keep up.with zimmedari bit too like this even if somewhat stupid caz that ain't a solution but atleast he acknowledged ke he trusted her ke she will not be the reason for any disturbance in his life and jhoota rishta will keep going on..

Also that marr jaane wali line came out of extreme done with you only ke wohi theek hota haha I didn't mind it in the context it played out..

Imlie ka bhi pov thoda toh clear hua ke she felt this is what he meant by she is allowed to keep this belief and then thay her belief is to do all this nonsense though I Don't agree with that but it kinda gave us something to understand her extra savitri zone main jaana. Though an glad she was out of it today..

On the whole I feel this was needed and the right jolt..

I expected it to be an insult fest based on the sbs video, but it was actually an unsure and scared adis outburst. He is surely but subconsciously drawn towards imlie and it is making him mad that he is losing control. Actually liked the scene. It was angst ridden and very passionate.

What I like is how this conflict is being setup without one being obviously wrong and other right.. again it is the grey shade in between hat mad either work for me

Yes, I think they are talking also cuz that is what Malini asked for na as a part of her promise from him that no matter what issues they have, they will try to talk through them.

The issue isn't about whether Adi is wrong or Malini is wrong....the issue is that this was a fundamental long-running basic disagreement b/w them that they never addressed before getting married. Malini thinks she's made enough effort to adjust in Adi's family and life without realizing that her accepting any of these nosy "gifts" from her Mom are never going to work in her marital life. And Adi for his part has been in his own bubble for so long never realizing that Malini is still very attached to her mom and will not fully understand why these things will rub him the wrong way.

The main issue in their marriage is that they only talk about surface things and barely scratch the surface.....now in the precap, Adi is sort of pulling back the first layer and for the first time, sharing the full extent of his bitterness on this issue with Malini.....he clearly has a big chip on his shoulder about their class difference and her coming from a rich family but they've never really talked through it enough before cuz they kept presuming they are in love with each other so all is perfect.

I think this is meant to run in parallel with Adi telling Imlie today that he fears he will lose his REAL relationships cuz of the impact of his NAKLI relationship with Imlie....toh that is probably a big reason why she will be trying to patch them up.

+1 pehle he would just keep quiete to not upset anyone and jhel leta tha but that was also caz they weren't formally in any rishta so politeness and duniyadari and all used to make him revert i guess and never address the actual issue even if he may have noticed it before too but ab khul ke yeh baat ho sakti hai... the problem remains that they just got married for the sake of it.. and never actually talked about things and kept brushing them under the carpet for one or other surface level perfection and sab khushal mangal hai facade.. but actually kabhi bhi nahi tha sab theek and normal caz their world was so opposite to the other..

Both of them making adjustments were a very normal and expected thing from each other after shaadi what they don't realize is how much effort goes into it..

Aaj nahi toh kal yeh aana hi tha baahir because all the so called acarifices and adjustments that were being made were made with another added expectation of being acknowledged as some God damn humongous thing that they have done for each other.. like malini does these things but it is always like ab mujhe appreciate karo.. she never drew a line about how much her mother should be involved in her relationship with her husband and sasuralis and that is gonna cost her so much more abhi toh kuch bhi nahi hai... she is too dependent on her mother and views duniya mostly from her eyes too in terms of these superficial things and expectations.. that ain't gonna work...

Yes, overall I feel they redeemed the week a bit with this scene....otherwise hum sab log despair zone mein jaa rahe the ki where is all the nuance we are used to?😆

Imlie ka POV did get a bit clearer too thankfully even though I think thoda forced logic hi tha for this vrat but I'm also glad it's behind us. That said, I feel they did a pretty abrupt shift from such an emotional angsty scene to morning with Imlie bouncing around giving doodh to everyone😕😆......editing and flow mein thoda jhol tha.

Still, I will say the Adi-Imlie scene turned out well also cuz of ST-GM ki acting.....they played off each other well in this scene cuz after many days, ek layered argument thi b/w Adi-Imlie....push and pull tha.....like you could feel the pain and helplessness b/w them again after many days.

These last two caps again make me think Adi is such a volatile personality with the way his mood shifts b/w frustration and a wry tortured smile😆.....Moon toh kisi angle se nahin sambhaal sakti isko - woh khud kitni delicate soul hai😆

@bold: Exactly.....Making adjustments is a normal part of marital life....but inka issue is beyond that. They are fundamentally not suited for each other because of their own respective baggage.

Adi has too much of a defensive chip on his shoulder about being middle class and not as rich as Malini's family. He is with Malini mainly as a promise to her, not out of wanting to be with her. Malini actually feels she is ENTITLED to his saath cuz she's made so many adjustments for him for 7 years😆....and he feels OBLIGED to repay her for her adjustments 😆. This is not how a relationship can function.

To me the most interesting thing was Adi realizing that 7 years of being together doesn't mean that you are compatible in each other's life😆.....for the first time, him noting the fact that the only MET UP for 7 years....they didn't LIVE together 😆....and there is a big difference b/w those two things.

And just look at how BITTER he is sounding in the precap😆.....clearly bahut saalon ki bhadaas store up ki hui hai jo ab baahar nikal ke aa rahi hai as he's ranting on about how Malini must think she's married some bechara reporter blah blah.....this is the real Adi....that Malini has barely gotten to see, but Imlie ko roz dose milta hai😆......oh that reminds me, there was another bit where Imlie was like, I'm used to him being rude to me cuz that's how he always talks to me but today he talked to Malini didi like that and I didn't like it😆.

Atleast we got to hear them talk about the current shift and what they actually meant from that and expected as the aftermath of it.. took them almost 2 weeks to come to that but shukar hai ohir bhi aaye toh.. I felt my like mera reconnect ho gaya with these 2 characters..

I liked his Akhir chahti kya ho. It was palpable...and her bechari main kya chahoongi and listing the same rati hui list and him going that is not what I am talking about and you know that..... and then the whole your actions aren't exactly matching your words with how you don't want anything to do with me but it looks quiete different with this vrat thing ..

Babusahib was upset over the whole tamasha but the few words that stood out were tumne humse jhoot kyon bola , yakeen tha , rishta hahahahaha sure sure babusahib this is Nakli all of it is😉

AGREE with bold too they were both really good in showing up the pent up emotions .. again the raw energy worked great for it and make it worth a watch

Aww at the last bit where he goes dude I have no control over life what can I give you he basically feels like a failure caz technically he is failing both of them on so many levels I felt for him there

When aditya said that when someone was wiping your sindoor,Malini came to save u....imlie should have said Malini was sita maiyaa today....hope imlie gives her peace of mind to adi tomorrow.....once he had insulted her for being a thief in PD and she gave it back to him with interest.... tomorrow he will speak ill to Malini and she should blast him for thinking like that....

Both sisters should move out of his life because he speaks rudely to both of them....

It should not turn out that she is a fall back option.It will glaringly show that he is basically selfish and just chose the convenient one.

@bold: Yes, I really liked that bit too.....it was long overdue after the torture of the last few epis....finally someone pointing out that Imlie's words and actions are not matching.....also, there was an intensity, a palpable quality to the way he said as you also pointed out.....ki if this is really all she wants, why is she running around doing secret vrat and all?

Pent up is the word....dono taraf se jaise emotions bubbled over in this scene....especially the "Aap humein KAAHE bachaaye, na chahte huye Dilli waapis kyun lekar aaye, jungle mein marne ke liye chhod kaahe nahin aaye"....Imlie started that line of questioning first and he looked hurt when he first heard her say it, that is why he burst out with his own "Haan chhod dena chahiye tha wahin.."....and then followed up with, "Tum achhi tarhaan jaanti ho ki hum apni zimmedaari nibhaa rahe the"😆....to which Imlie counters, "Hum bhi apni zimmedaari hi nibha rahe hain patni hone ki"😆.

Actually the more I'm talking about this scene, the more the nuances are becoming apparent😆....this convo was about so much more than Adi's anger with her over creating the sindoor tamasha....both of them were kinda twisted up inside yet again over this relationship b/w them that they both can't get free of.....it's like that one moment where Imlie was like, "Why did you save me"?...she was kind of asking it like him doing that ensured that their connection lives on....or it could all have ended that very day in the jungle if he had just let her be....but he didn't let that happen....and now he can't question her for trying to do her part for this relationship either😆
