that is a valid point and thought you have had i think that was what they were playing upon with a bit of har chamkti cheez sona nahi hoti added to it... Malini's coin was big.. shiny... sure with a good intent but the emotion behind it wasn't as strong as imlie ka chota sa worn out coin which was so close to Her and had so much emotional value.. i guess it was to signify ke imlie can give things that matter to her the most in a jiffy and in good faith .. she truly valued his success and thought that coin found a better place with adi while for malini the gift giving was more of a routine thing.. done and dusted a formality.. she didn't had much of value attached to that coin either. .. she gave to more as a token thing that everyone planned to do while imlie ke liye it menat a world... his joys meant a world to her for malini more than aditya's success or happiness it was a i deserve equal credit for it thing she wanted validation out of his success too while imlie ka aisa kuch nahi tha.. she was happy caz she was happy she didn't had any expectation of any sort..
and yes the class difference too caz they have shown us from the start ke imlie was worried ke ab woh kya de.. but uska 1 rs meant so much more then fancy shmancy things..
also chalo yeahin keh deti hoon yeh bhi main yar.. ke it was interesting to me ke how instinctively he shared the success with imlie in that moment in office.. when malini was expecting him to share it with her.. it was interesting that malini thought she deserved the credit for his success and that usne uske saath yeh sapna sanjhoya hai and uske wajah se yeh sach hua hai but thanks to kismat the credit did go to the correct person who actually had a huge hand is sahkar karna of sapna.. the way aditya went in the flow and itna kuch bol dia ke she deserved it and is the hero of his story and badle main kuch expect bhi nahi kia... i liked ke nobody had to push him to acknowledge that... and he thought of imlie as in his support system in this whole acheivement of his dream than malini.. i foudn that kinda cool.. even though it wasn;t as direct he will probably still deny it and be like malini ka he credit hai but that will be a cover up and more of a what should be happening thing then what has happened...
@bold: Yes, that is what I thought they were going for too.....Malini's coin was the shinier/prettier one but it lacked the meaning and depth of the one that Imlie had given him.....if they had only ended the scene with Adi staring at both coins in his hand, that would have been enough. But no, they had to add the line about Adi once again only lamenting Malini's hurt....that soured it for me.
They are definitely playing up the class difference and Imlie's gareebi and seems like a TRP play to me.....lol but before all this, the class difference didn't feel as in the face cuz Imlie was still allowed her spunk within the house.....but off late, she is too busy groveling in front of Malini 24/7 in the name of so called "sisterhood" and it's getting annoying.
Yaar there were lovely moments of Adi otherwise doing things instinctively....he thought of Imlie on his own in the middle of the Thank You speech and he got emotional thinking of her as the unsung hero in this chapter of his life....but I can't really get over how the writers totally did kachra of that by making the second half all about Malini ka tantrum.....they could have saved that for another episode.....ek episode toh rehne dete to allow for the significance of Adi's Thank You speech to play out....but no, it's all down the drain like a blip on the radar.....ab kisi ko yaad bhi nahin rahega the importance of that moment.
