and yes the class difference too caz they have shown us from the start ke imlie was worried ke ab woh kya de.. but uska 1 rs meant so much more then fancy shmancy things..

also chalo yeahin keh deti hoon yeh bhi main yar.. ke it was interesting to me ke how instinctively he shared the success with imlie in that moment in office.. when malini was expecting him to share it with her.. it was interesting that malini thought she deserved the credit for his success and that usne uske saath yeh sapna sanjhoya hai and uske wajah se yeh sach hua hai but thanks to kismat the credit did go to the correct person who actually had a huge hand is sahkar karna of sapna.. the way aditya went in the flow and itna kuch bol dia ke she deserved it and is the hero of his story and badle main kuch expect bhi nahi kia... i liked ke nobody had to push him to acknowledge that... and he thought of imlie as in his support system in this whole acheivement of his dream than malini.. i foudn that kinda cool.. even though it wasn;t as direct he will probably still deny it and be like malini ka he credit hai but that will be a cover up and more of a what should be happening thing then what has happened...

@bold: Yes, that is what I thought they were going for too.....Malini's coin was the shinier/prettier one but it lacked the meaning and depth of the one that Imlie had given him.....if they had only ended the scene with Adi staring at both coins in his hand, that would have been enough. But no, they had to add the line about Adi once again only lamenting Malini's hurt....that soured it for me.

They are definitely playing up the class difference and Imlie's gareebi and seems like a TRP play to me.....lol but before all this, the class difference didn't feel as in the face cuz Imlie was still allowed her spunk within the house.....but off late, she is too busy groveling in front of Malini 24/7 in the name of so called "sisterhood" and it's getting annoying.

Yaar there were lovely moments of Adi otherwise doing things instinctively....he thought of Imlie on his own in the middle of the Thank You speech and he got emotional thinking of her as the unsung hero in this chapter of his life....but I can't really get over how the writers totally did kachra of that by making the second half all about Malini ka tantrum.....they could have saved that for another episode.....ek episode toh rehne dete to allow for the significance of Adi's Thank You speech to play out....but no, it's all down the drain like a blip on the radar.....ab kisi ko yaad bhi nahin rahega the importance of that moment.

In my opinion and I might be completely off but the two coins represent the two women in his life. One the shining star of his past and the other, the result of the dark night. In the past, Aditya would have totally rejected Imlie’s gift without a second thought and his focus would be Malini and only Malini. But this time not only did he accept it, but he is holding both of them in his hand giving them equal status.
I think that means that at this moment, both women hold the same place of importance in his life. One is love, the other is responsibility. His righteous nature will not allow him to discard responsibility for the love and his selfishness is not allowing him to discard love for responsibility. But the more important question here is which coin is he going to cherish more, which coin would become the important one, the one that he cannot live without especially if love replaces responsibility.

I will take it as progress, because one step at a time, unknowingly through her actions, Imlie is making a place for herself in his life and Aditya too is unknowingly allowing it.

Oh I do think you are right about this.....the two coins were indeed meant to represent the two women in his life.....one the bright/shiny one that looks better on the surface, the other is the simple/poor looking one that holds much more meaning beyond its monetary value.

I just wish the scene actually had him reflecting on the two coins rather than once again only thinking about "Malini hurt ho gayi".....that defeated the whole purpose of him holding the two coins in his hands.

The progress is there but the writers are insisting on glossing over most of it in Malini-bhakti from Imlie and Adi and that's getting a bit much. Literally every scene diverts into either Imlie or Adi appeasing Malini....I wish the writers would give that a rest.

The Adi-Malini scene today again had so many red flags about the problems in their relationship....the lack of understanding and communication even though they both insist they know each other best....but all of it got glossed over in Adi's groveling.

I think it is not at all random or coincidental that both ladies of his life gave him coins on this special day . Come on, how could it be coincidence?? The scene was put there to make us viewers as well Aditya to ponder on it, us to think what the makers are up to and for Aditya, to once again marvel the complex web of fate being woven with the three of them, as he holds them both in each palm ( also to hammer the point that it is put there for a reason).

I think these two coins signify the difference in the values , of the two ladies in his life. The silver coin has obvious value , you see it in it's shining glory and you don't need further explanation . Just like you see Malini standing beside Aditya, his wife ,Mrs Aditya Kumar Tripathi , in front of the entire world, his family that one special person in Aditya's life, love of his life, standing tall , regal and beautiful.

But the one rupee coin has no value at first glance, it has no worldly value as such , looks worn out . But once you know the backstory behind it , the rich history ,it becomes incredibly special as a gift , it's value given by its meaning. Imlie is that coin in Aditya's life. At one glance for an outsider, she has no place in his life , no value , no name , but it's their shared history , shared fate that gives her place in his life, makes her important for him. It's deeply secret , but not a dirty one, but a special almost sacred one.

Aditya while recieving the award openly and boldly took Malini's name in his speech , giving her the 1st and maximum credit , symbolic that Malini comes first in his destiny and she's acknowledged and cherished. But Imlie who has maximum contributions towards this award ,he can't even openly take her name, not as his significant other , not as a family , not as a friend , not even an acquaintance. She's unnamed but no more acknowledged. He knows he can't validate her presence in his life in front of the world but he can't and won't deny the truth of her importance in his life even if as a destiny chosen person .

So he does the only thing he's allowed to do for her or give her - he remembers her. He became emotional while thinking of her , how she must remain unacknowledged always but in his thoughts and emotions. His family members giving Malini credit of how auspicious she is for Aditya , completely unaware of the actual one standing in front of them who deserved most credit for today and she got none and they'll never know her importance in his success.

It shows us how both are his .But one is to proudly flaunt in front of the world and another to cherish in private like a fond deeply intimate memory.

Ofcourse it wasn't a coincidence that they both gave him coins.....but my point was what did Adi even ponder after holding both the coins in his hand? Only one thought....Malini hurt ho gayi😆. He didn't ponder over the contrast of the two coins in his hand.....everything once again got limited to "Malini hurt ho gayi".....nothing before or after that.

And I personally didn't appreciate the makers trying to show that Malini-Imlie think in the same way....cuz that's just not true....it hasn't happened in the story before this....they are different in their thinking....but just for the purpose of this scene when poor Imlie gave Adi the most valuable thing she had left, the makers insisted on duplicating that by showing Malini with the same. And to make it worse, they then didn't leave any opportunity for Adi to even dwell on the value of Imlie's gift because the whole scene shifted to Malini demanding attention and him groveling in front of her.....lol

Adi acknowledged Imlie's value in his life on his own today and that was a big step, but within moments of that, Malini demanded his attention and fealty in a sense, and all thoughts of Imlie flew from his mind yet again.....which left me wondering if there was even any point to him remembering Imlie in that Thank You speech to begin with when it didn't follow up to anything worthwhile😆

The thing is that wether aditya wants it or not every important thing in his life is directing first to imli.. wether it was his wedding or any other ritual.. now his award again.. incidentally imli became the first to be shared with and he got her gift first.. just like all the other happenings the coin is also a rugged one.. but with malini everything has been rich a grand just like the silver but she is always later.. hopefully they also show what he did with the coins.. one he will have to retain rest of his life and let go of one..

@bold: Very true. Aditya is still yet to fully comprehend the inevitability of the way Destiny is playing out.....the symbolism was so obvious in today's scene also. He was on his way to go see Malini when he walked into the house, but Meethi ended up calling him right then only and that diverted him to go to Imlie first - this was all Destiny.

Destiny decided that he was meant to go to Imlie first - that he was meant to show his award to Imile first, that Imlie was meant to give him her gift first.

The entire focus of Malini's hurt yesterday was that she wanted to be FIRST in Adi's life....first to see his award too....but no matter how much Malini cries, destiny was meant to take Adi to Imlie first. Aditya doesn't want to face this truth so he gives in to Malini's crying and tries to make her feel that she is indeed first and only coincidences changed his path at the last moment. But he can only fight destiny for so long.....the truth prevails eventually.

I'm not sure if they will show any follow up with the coins.....lol they still haven't shown Imlie's reaction to the photo frame he gave her of her and her mom's picture. They also haven't shown what Imlie did with the kurta he gifted her😆

Well, don't you think its needed for Aditya as well us viewers. If they do not show this façade of Malini where she gets angry when things do not go her way, throw tantrums, show her insecurity, how will Adi realize that she is not the shining star he thinks she is. That the base of their relationship is not as strong as he thinks it is or there is no understanding. He has draw parallels and this scenes are needed to do it. Right now, yes he is groveling, because, of course, he is filled with guilt but slowly irritation is going to creep in especially as he witnesses the things Imlie has to go through to fulfill her marriage vows and is doing it with a smile on her face vs Malini where everything falls in her lap but still is not happy for smallest of things.

If they keep showing her as an understanding women, Aditya and us viewers will have no reason to move away from her and will always sympathize with her. We have to see that both Aditya and Imlie especially, is not trying to take her haq away, infact they are making sure that none of their problems touch her. In retrospect, its building a strong base for Aditya and Imlie but well, thats added bonus.

I loved the episode!

Again it is the tiny progress you have to notice!

This episode shows how Aditya really care to Millany and how he is Acknowledge her as a wife and a supporter in his life, and how she is till now his first priority(After Work) and how he want to be the perfect husband for her and don't want to hurt her!

And how he also right now, Acknowledge Imlie as a hidden supporter and savior who can not Address, who is so selfless that give too much while don't want any thing in return, who fell life with colors, who he can't say (tank u ) to her!

But still this fact and this Acknowledge is disappear in front of his commitment and loyalty to Millany!

Now he only see Millany hurt, don't see the pain that imlie has to suffer daily! He can't relate to the hidden tears and sadness in Imlie's face while she putting the smile and happy mask!

Really his life is the price for Imlie's life and existents. She sacrifice her life to marry someone she don't love and knows he belong to other, while she refuse to marry to complete her study and dreams! so he could live!

He is still not in place to compare between the two women in his life, his feeling till now didn't devolve for Imlie so he can compare the value between the two coins! Once he start developing feelings for Imlie and notice the difference between the two, this coins will hunt him!

Also when he is with Imlie you can sense he want her happy, she didn't ask for the trophy, and also he didn't offer her in the beginning, he was rushing to Millani, but once Imlie gave him the coin which have so much value to her, he forget about Millani and want to make her happy in return! And I love the hand touch really meaningful!

I loved how they but depth to Malliny character, at least she acts normal this time!

But I notice something! When Trapithy gave her credit for the award, she refuse it and tell them not to do this and take away Aditya's hard work. But when she get upset she told him that she want him to share his happiness and success with her since it is not his only she had to go through with him last couple of years! And how she was so understanding all the time for the importance of his work!

I love the sisterhood, it doesn't bothered me at all, It add so much complicity to the situation, they both devolve real feelings to each other, once the truth appear it will be hard for both of them!

LOL I'm not sure where I said that they need to keep showing Malini as an understanding woman😕. That was not my point at all. My point was about the level to which Adi is groveling....he is nowhere close to understanding the issues with Malini even when she threw such an obvious childish tantrum today.....instead he is only bending over backwards more for her.....that is not going to help any realization long or short term.

@bold: Again, where is the irritation creeping in? Nowhere😆.....Malini's tantrums are being justified both to Adi as well as to the viewers as if all if it is still part of her sweet personality and she is entitled to everything.....no one is seeing or pointing out the obvious issues with what she was doing. The scene today didn't even make it sound like she's insecure.....it was shown to Adi as well as to the viewers as a wife being entitled to wanting to be the first to share his award.

I don't think there was anything in the scene yesterday to draw sympathy away from Malini.....in fact, the writers and the characters were laying on the guilt even thicker😆. And why does sympathy even need to be drawn away from Malini for Adi-Imlie to work? I personally don't need that as a viewer....I don't need Malini to be irritating in order to prefer Adi-Imlie.....it would work just fine for me if they were able to establish the long term incompatibility in Adi-Malini's relationship without showing everyone groveling in front of her.

Adi-Imlie don't need to be shown bending backwards to this extent in front of Malini....I personally find it a turn off. Nobody is trying to take her haq away from her but that doesn't mean people need to act like her slaves either.

You are spot on. That scene actually shows glaring difference in their personality. I can relate with Malini, I would be upset too, after going thru that detailed planning. But when Adi starts comparing her to Imlie and the lengths she goes to keep him safe and respect his decisions (like taking a bullet instead of letting the villagers go and check on Adi and reminding him to remove the sindoor even when is close to dying, just so that he doesn’t have to answer anyone); he will start introspecting.

I think today’s precap is again a step towards that; Imlie had to resort to hiding and eating someone’s left over to complete the vrat, which is kept for his long life. As he said in the Thank you speech today, she gives everything with out expecting anything in return.
