TV actors usually have 1 year contracts rarely if they are leads , most times they've 6 month contracts . Surbhi, Nakuul all used to have such contracts , they'd get renewed 6 monthly with evaluations.

Also Ronita who played the female lead of the original show left it mid way because of bashing due to EMA. Can you picturize a Marathi movie star sticking around once the brick bats start falling even if there's a whiff of EMA ??

Adilie ke sath hum sab hai .. pad sahi galat bhi apni jaga hai. Entertainment ke naam pe kuch bhi dikhana bhi thik nei ..one show in Sony another recently in colors got shut down due to offensive content and viewers protest. So it's not like these things don't matter.

Also , Gashmeer used to promote little bits of Adilie , now he has completely stopped it. In fact in his Saas bahu betiyaan interview, he was justifying and supporting Adini and went aggresive and annoyed when the host tried to talk about Aditya and Imlie, before he gathered himself and carefully detached himself.

In Sumbul's birthday video he was so happy and excited about Adilie marriage , he was cracking jokes . And in sbb interview, he trashed Adilie wedding. Even then I felt very very uneasy watching the interview . I mentioned it in the interview post as well. But my utmost respect and love for Gashmeer prevented me from being so direct that time. But this time I feel like this may not be his choice. We do know for a fact that actors receive instructions from powers above as to what to say and promote and emphasize on interviews as well.

But after the city track started both changed 😭

Like they just got gists of what is going to happen next and instructions on what to promote/not promote

I have seen with other shows too that actors behave strangely all of a sudden on their personal sns handles and that's actually to promote what's coming up next in the show. Idhar bhi ye hi case hai 😭

@bold I know which show you are talking about here. It even had a petition filed against it which is like a proper legal action, let alone fan bashing on sns. Even though the lead actress had crazy fan following, yet the show couldn't be saved. Idhar to kisi actor ki crazy fan following bhi nahi hai abhi tak, and upar se morally incorrect cheeze aur dikha denge to kaun bachaega is show ko 🤔

i don't think imlie is such a person who can destroy malini's life on purpose. She happily gave malini her husband today. So we don't know how that ema gonna start. What will be exact situation? Imlie will not be ready for it easily. Adi has to bend on his knees in front of imlie to accept his love. I want imlie to give emotional trauma to adi. So i am excited to see helpless and rejected adi. 😈

social media bashing & TRP are two different issues. If Adi-Imlie love story brings TRP, Star will show that only (which I think will be the case). Lead characters getting bashed in this age is nothing new. Protagonists do not always need to be good people. They can be wrong & still bring in numbers.

Here you're automatically assuming that post marriage love story will fetch ratings?? On what basis ?? I agree ratings are most important but who says they'll be able to secure ratings showing the same crap ?? Kasauti tried that and it busted on their faces, even though they always avoided the more murkier and controversial stuffs of old kasauti out of the new one. Audience taste have changed.

They continued to show Ishti Kutum with Baha Archie because ratings were consistent but now it may not be the case ?? Also , because of excess sympathy for Moon character by the viewers Moon kept coming back between Archie Baha and even separated them till the last episode.

I agree with the bold part. Numbers will decide a lot of things. It'll take time for viewers to sink in the fact that the ML is now married to someone else . Most were expecting the marriage to be stopped. How many do you think even knows this is a remake?

But even if they show slightest of Adilie romance, even an eye lock, that can lead to outrage because EMA is a very sensitive topic. A few years back another show with very popular actors tried to show EMA but received a audience's wrath and eventually shut down.

Yes yes I'm talking about that show only.

So it's not true that opinions on social media doesn't matter . It matters if there is sufficient heat.

I've seen actors behaving strangely as per track change too.

Recently in YRKKH , the leads were behaving very much distant for a long time when a controversial track was going on in the show.

In the initial phase PH usually advise actors to promote the lead couple . But here .. makes me wonder, what Sumbul and Gashmeer know that we don't.

Anyways, now what is done . The arrow is out of the hands of Aditya as well as the makers and they'll all have to live with the consequences of it.

Let's hope our dear hard working talented leads don't fall prey to the same kind of heat as Rishi and Ronita faced. They deserve the best , and I wish the best for both of them.

Aaj kal har channel pe aise kitne shows hai jahan ek wife ke hote doosri shaadi kar leta hai hero. I don't think kuch different lagega sabko. Trp drop hongi not due to ema but for showing the same storylines that we hindi viewers are already seeing in other shows. Personally, mujhe ema se farak nhi padhta. I only watch shows for main leads chemistry. 😎 Baki nayi soch bolte sab hain but age ja kar sab saas bahu drama hi dikhate hain. 😛
