Well , if Imlie can think of breaking a promise she'd given voluntarily ( Aditya did not say you must give me such a promise. ) and with so much bragging that I won't break it etc. and also her big big words like , " If I've never taken a penny from someone else that doesn't belong to me , how could I take some one else's love ?"
, it's still a betrayal for her character integrity that she considered and demanded her haq. Forced marriage is no marriage. Which is why you need not divorce in forced marriage even in a country like India where marriages are really difficult to break . You can get direct annulment. ( annulments are only allowed in very few special circumstances. )
Why she keeps shouting I'm a scholarship student , what is the point of education if it doesn't open your eyes to such things ?? What haq exactly was she talking about ?? Her case is 100 % different from her mother. Dev was not held at gun point to be with her mother , in fact he slept with Mithi under false pretense and false promises, which is why in this case Dev is wrong . But Aditya has done no such thing. He'd no intention to marry Imlie ever. He never exploited her . He chose death to keep his commitment towards Malini instead of marrying Imlie. That's how much this commitment means to him . Agar Aditya Moon se pyar nehi karta to alag baat hota. Which is why I always said this Adini marriage must break from Aditya's side only , because it was Aditya's choice that had been desecrated.
At this point can we fault Aditya really for always being so paranoid and jumping to conclusions around Imlie ?? When its clear his fears always made sense.

So if Aparna wasn't so happy she would've told her the truth ?? 👎🏼 She's just desperate to hold onto the marriage knowing well it has no basis. She forgot that a completely innocent girl and a man who loves her are waiting to begin their marriages. She forgot the assurances she kept on giving Aditya all the while.

I can completely picturize her doing EMA with Aditya behind Malini's back instead of asking for clean divorce first. She's turning into Baha , it's just that Baha never tried to come between Archie and Moon , when Archie had eyes for Moon only. She had that much integrity at least.
Makers , look at your scripts before giving them green signals. For the sake of ratings and cheap drama , don't sell out the character of your heroine, if she's the heroine. Or change the name of the show to Malini ka prem N we all can safely exit.
