I guess most of us do know about this show.

"Dhoom Macha De" is the new reality show by NDTV Imagine which will be aired on every Friday and Saturday at 8-30 pm from 1st week of February 2008. From this show the great actress Sharmila Tagore will make her television debut as she will be a judge in this show. Along with Sharmila Tagore music director and singer Shankar Mahadevan and lyricist and script writer Prsoon Joshi will judge this show. The three judges along with the viewers will find the best live performer of the show. This show will be presented by very hot Maliaka Arora Khan. After judging the two seasons of the dance reality show Nach Baliye she will now host Dhoom Macha De. This show will have eleven well known Indian singers who will compete with each other to win the title. The participants are:

Jaspinder Narula

Sapna Awasthi

Baba Sehgal

Kamaal Khan

Devang Patel

Babul Supriyo

Taz

There will be different themes like pop, rap, folk and others. Every week the participant with the least scores and votes will be eliminated till the finals where the best live performer will be selected.

They are not actors trying to sing, or singers learning to dance! For the first time ever on television, eleven of India's most popular and professional singers like Anaida, Baba Sehgal, Babul Supriyo, Devang Patel, Jaspinder Nirula, Jassi, Kamaal Khan, Richa Sharma, Sapna Awasthi, Suneeta Rao and Taz will come together in one mega show to compete at what they do best - LIVE performance, only on Dhoom Macha De!

This musical extravaganza will be hosted by none other than the gorgeous Malaika Arora Khan who will boost the spirits of the participants in the ultimate competition to uncover the "Best LIVE Performer".
Amidst a lot of action, energetic performances and special celebrity guests… our judges comprising of industry stalwarts, along with the viewers, will finally adjudge the country's best performer...

I just happened upon the article regarding Babul Supriyo's latest performance. That article brought me to this section.

What a great idea for a show. I haven't yet seen an episode, but I'll definitely catch up as soon as I can. It's great that we'll actually get to hear trained and professional singers through this show. I just hope the drama aspect is limited.

And the best part... we get to see Sharmilaji on screen again. She is still so beautiful! She has truly aged very gracefully.

I'm sad to see that this section isn't all that popular... YET! Hopefully it'll catch on and we'll draw more people in 😊 There are quite a few music lovers here, so I'm sure it will. I'll do my best to join you all 😊
