Yaaas!! I swear the Rani scenes were awesome! I mean awfully harsh language and all of that definitely. Rani was completely below the belt in her taunts and comments to Surili. But damn, Kittu Gidwani is acing it. Like I watch the show with my mom, and she actually had a moment of recollection going "Rani is not doing right with Surili".. and that's huge coming from some one who couldn't watch 5 mins of the show!

Styling is a sore thumb. We've pointed it out on Instagram and Twitter too. But the point is that they want her to have that kind of style, its a focused attempt at either making her relatable or create a differentiation.

Exactly. Surili was completely justified. And if you think about it, Shiv did do wrong to Swatilekha, to the extent of not talking or being upfront with her. Now if you think about it, this sudden marriage seems like an ego tussle between Rani and Shiv. Where both are trying to prove that they have the control or the upper hand.

I'm also a bit confused as to why the core insecurity of Rani is being hidden. Her problem with the city girl, as a result of her husband's EMA is probably at the center of her issues. Considering Shiv knows the truth about his father, why isn't he either confronting his mom or giving this background to Surili?

The last bit.. I think this is where this show differs.

If you see the flashbacks Rani had when Surili entered, it was of the kalikh. So I have a feeling that's the angle this show is going for.

Nothing about the father's EMA has been even stated yet. So maybe this show has put a twist to that, in that either Rani doesn't know or Rani knows but the kids don't know. If Shiv knew, would he have spoken so highly of his father to Surili in their first coffee date up at the hill? I doubt it.

And yes, you are right. After Shiv / Surili's argument, it became obvious to me that Shiv didn't marry Surili in haste out of love, rather because he wanted to challenge his mother. He wanted to one up her, and now the mum will try to one up him by removing him from the business. Poor Surili got stuck in this..

The mum.. so much for being a rani. Her language is so crass. Not at all befitting of a royal. Couldn't they come up with better lines for her instead of making her say shit like 'sadakchap' etc

Also why did the makers make them a royal? The sets don't look royal at all. It's a common ITV problem but it always bothers me how the sets never match up to the character's richness.😆

RE: Styling. They could have gotten her T-shirts with a better fit. The baggy shirts really don't do justice. And she would still look different lol.

Surlis's look is very confusing like they are trying to show her all laid back but its just coming off very lazy. The og character of sureya was a musician, graduated from music school could play several instruments and sing obviously but her look was very bohemian. She also wore a relaxed look but her clothes were still more feminine.

Barring the Maan / Surili convo, I didn't enjoy the episode. For reasons below-

Damn Shiv's wedding gift for Surili was so sasta.. so much for being a royal🤣

Also can't believe I'm saying this but I'd rather Surili wear her jeans and T-shirt than that ill-fitted black gown they made her wear with that horrible bun. WHY OH WHY CVs.. please fire Tina's stylist. It's such a sore to look at her.

Also what's with her asking him to wait. He just wanted a kiss, WOMAN. Like you're married [that too love marriage].. you waiting for Christmas or what?! I know they don't show lip kisses on ITV but they could have just shown a cheat kiss using camera angles you know. SIMPLE. Like if she said she was on her period or that they're out in the open.. that would have made much more sense. Oh well I will never understand why ITV thinks the story is over after consummation and thus, needs to delay consummation.

Rani Maa's shock that Shiv / Surili were out the whole night.. woman, were you never married? A couple needs privacy.

Also Surili you could have hidden the sun from Shiv's face by using the pillow rather than your tiny-mini hands.

I'm not gonna comment on their respective promises to each other because that's gonna fly out of the window real soon. Mark my words.

More than lazy, it's like they're trying to make her look bad on purpose. Either the stylist or director clearly hate Tina.😆

I don't need her styling to be extravagant. Just simple jeans and T-shirt is fine. But don't give her oversized stuff to wear.. it doesn't go with her petite frame.

So swati and raghavs wedding is next and the mom is already pitting one son over the other. Its gonna def cause conflict between the brothers the couples and the bahus. If they go by og surili and shiv will also end up getting a second wedding along with these two but i wonder the disaster in the end due to an uninvited guest will happen here lol

Yeah but here Surili doesn't go to any music school. They show that she stopped singing after her parent's accident.

I mean lazy would be better. Here they wanted a modern day look where the working woman who runs a business from 5 AM in the morning to night is extremely busy and has no time for grooming or good clothes.

BUT! literally no modern person wears such baggy clothes, that too in the hospitality industry. Tina's so pretty and she still tries to save these outfits. But I swear they are awful.

A clear misfit to her frame and uncomplimentary to her looks.

Ah, the spoilers. Btw, I saw a BTS of the Shivendra slapping Raghavendra. That should happen soon and be fun!! Its like revenge time for Bandish!

see they are messing with a big part of the characteristics, coz og surili was very vocal about her music and her singing, its the thing that helped her cope with her parents death and she was immensely talented. It did cause some conflict when she performed in public then she focused on opening a music school for kids with her bestie and that was a big passion project for her.

yeah shiv and raghav are bound to have conflict on top raghavs friendship and bond with the new guy is gonna irk his older brother. Its def the mom's fault who put all her attention on one son and ignored the other and now it pitting them against eo.
