Priyanka has already played more non-desi roles than Dev has but there's nothing wrong with a desi playing a desi. Not sure what the point of this topic is.

After Priyanka is done shooting Bollywood movie The Sky Is Pink which she's shooting right now she's announcing more Bollywood/Hollywood projects. She's already said Ma Anand Sheela movie is in development directed by Academy Award winner Barry Levinson.

Priyanka didn't debut in an Academy Award winning movie like Slumdog Millionaire and get movies like Frieda and Dev from that initial hype. Priyanka will have to slowly work her way up and she's willing to do that.

But then u gotta admit that she is more famous than both dev & frieda combined and even during the heights of slumdog mania they never acheived even 10% of PC's popularity.Neither of them were appreciated for their acting skills in slumdog while PC's got overwhelming postive reviews for her role in quantico. So ur comparison is wrong.

PS: Academy Award winner Barry Levinson's last hit film as a director was in 1997.

PC is still trying to get her feet into HW. As of now she is in PR/marketing stage before landing substantial roles in HW movies. Its not easy for proper south asian actors/actresses to make it big in that industry. They also have fair share of stereotypes for South Asians. It will take time to for PC to act as a lead or main role in HW movie.

Are u trying to say that dev isn't a proper south asian? Its much more tougher for south asian male star than actresses. According to a study Roles for Asian/south asian male actor is less than 0.5% in hollywood .

This ain't it lmao. Priyanka is one of the best we got. Her acting credibility should never be questioned. One Jhilmil is worth whatever crap half these Hollywood heroines, forget Dev ,try to do in their entire careers. Emma Stone got an Oscar for something as bland as Lalaland. Priyanka's little toe from her left foot can act better than her and most of Hollywood. Her only problem is her accent. Its neither here or there. Just very pretentious. But Ma Anand Sheela will change that for her. She can use her Indian accent there and freely.

Seriously this has to be a joke. Saying Priyanka cant act. 😆

As far as I remember she played half indian in baywatch. Cause I remember a scene where she shares how her father gave all his buisness and property to her brother back in India.

Its simple cause PC didn't impress with her acting till now.
Baywatch, quantico and isn't it romantic nothing to brag about.
She needs to impress through being part of a highly acclaimed movie or at least her performance.
Slumdog did a lot for dev and freida they got attention and the oscars put them on the spotlight.
