Bold:I think Sony TV aise shows esliye laa raha hai so as to compete with the other 4 GECs.They thought maybe if they bring typical daily ITV daily soap they may get TRP.Waise bhi different concept based show laane se unko koyi fayda toh nahi hota hai since different content shows doesn't gives them TRP or gives similar TRPs like the current Sony TV shows.Waise bhi unka yeh saas bahu technique Ahilya mein kam kia hai naa.So lagta hai ab Sony TV and Sab TV dono mein daily soap content aayegaοΏΌππΌ.
Blue:No aise different genre drama Sony TV laana se bhi kia fyada.Unka fiction shows toh 0.5 yaa below 0.5 TRPs he laayegiπ.
B - I completely disagree with you. First of all Ahilya is working because its a biographical historical drama not because it has saas bahu elements. Secondly Sony will never think of bringing saas bahu shows in their channels remember that India wali maa, it was a saas bahu but did it worked for the channel ? The answer is no. Same case goes with Sab, are Kaatelal and TYHM working for them ? Absolutely NOT. Then why will they bring it again whats not working for them. And Sony network is different from the other GECs but they target mostly the urban audience and dont have a giant appetite for trp like Starplus or any other channel. Otherwise till now we would have seen numerous daily soaps on sony. Even IPZN and KUDCA have highly daily soapish content but they arent even working and they will not because Sony audience ko ye sab suit nahi karta which is why they are bringing Dhadkan and BALH s2 which are gonna pole apart from these daily soaps.
Bl - I agree they dont work. But what they do is create an online engagement which is very important for the future. Why do you think KRPKAB s3 came ? It wasnt even a 1+ trp gainer in the whole 3 season running course but it came back only because the online viewership is somewhere very big for this show. Thus Sony and Sab are the two channels that wont run behind trps. They will keep the show finite but they will bring it for sure for the audience. Not trp audience the intellectual audience.
