Geetanjali seriously comes on to Pradyut, he too is not averse to her attention.
Pradyut feels that he is just a few steps away from being King. The observer submits his report. The council retires for the night to study the report. Dollie is miserable after her fight with the Queen, and Pradyut is her shoulder to cry on.
Pradyut confides in Geetanjali that if he becomes King the first thing he will do it kill Dollie. Dollie prays to the gods and her mother. Pradyut convinces Dollie that she should bribe the observer to speak in her favour. Pradyut is shocked when the observer accepts the bribe. Dollie is thrilled.
The Council reconvenes and they announce the verdict that Dollie can be Queen based on the observer's report. The Queen is thrilled but Dollie cannot live the lie so she confesses her crime in front of the Council.
The Council announces that such a person cannot be Queen and Dollie is shattered. The Council is about to announce alternative names. The Queen is in shock but just then, the oracle storms into the palace.
