Dollie
THE little girl's all grown up. And she's making heads turn. While it might seem like yesterday—the girl with a curly mop grinning ear to ear after having won Miss Monte Carlo 2000 on a chilly December evening—today Karishma Randeva stands tall on prime time television. She's hard to miss, flitting across from one Balaji soap to another. ''Yes, there are quite a few,'' chuckles Randeva. Sonu on Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Piya on Kyun Hota Hai Pyar to Sakshi on Kusum and Sonika on Devi...and now she's Dollie too, starring as the lead character in Star Plus's new sitcom Hello Dollie. ''There's loads of work and I think I have been lucky in more ways than one. It's been a smooth ride so far,'' admits Karishma, who was studying biophysics in the city. Now on her own in Mumbai, Karishma says, ''I love coming back home to Chandigarh and it's flattering when people notice you on the street.''
