he is the only person who can scare me
Well, my dentist was really cute, so i never minded going for a check up!! π But he moved away now and his practise has been taken over by an old ugly weirdo.... he aint looking into my mouth even if HE pays ME!!
I am not scared of the dentist, as such, I have been blessed with good teeth that I take care of well, so no desperate visits to the dentist required...
Gosh the word ''dentist'' for me is filled with nightmares...
I am simply petrified of dentists after I had to undergo a ''root canal treatment''...And I must tell u that its the worst thing to do ur teeth π
They have these 6-7 sittings and ur gums are injected...ur teeth is drilled...the gums are pricked with various sizes of needles till they touch ur neck..eeewwww...
and then they re shape ur teeth by drilling it with a machine as if they are drilling a mountain..then put soem weird jelly in ur mouth or gum to take the size of ur re shapoed teeth and what not..
Gosh i go crazy remembering that incident..then they also put so many kinds of gross medicines in ur mmouth and make u eat them too...aaaaahhhhh π π€’
But then I guess the doctors too have a tough time to see that our gums are healthy..since then i brush my teeth twice... π
What a story now I am scaredπ

OK, I have a question, how will this local anesthesia does she think will be given....?π isnt that also be done via injection...π
A local anesthesia can be given in the form of a spray!so i wonder why tht lady was waiting for 20 years!π³
o...k....so many ppl dislike us or rather shd i say scaredπ³...but dental treatments are not half as bad...apprehension makes things worser..just relax n go to ur dentist n everything will be more easier than it seemed b4!πas for the root canal treatment tht delo described(btw..ur decription of root canal is toooooo cute..π)....the procedure is the same..but 'needles' r not pricked into ur gums!πand the 'jelly' is flavoured...and only for 2 min or so!so dont get scared n delay ur appointments..lest it gets late!!!π

Yaayyy...!! We have a good news for B'Di...ππ Bro inform her that the Million Dollar Tooth can be taken out now..π
Really funny dental n mental incidentsπππ
Okie now my turn...when i was a kiddo i needed to have this 'root canal treatment' done and i used to go to the dentist very 'happily'...π
Not scared at all or fusing that i dun want to be injected and all. Every time i used to go to this doc he used to say to my dad that Sir your dotty really has lot of patience and this child seems to be very brave...otherwise i get many elder patients making my life hell screaming n all...π At that time i used to be on cloud nine...π thinking i am the 'best' dental patient ever..!!π
Now why i used to be all happy going to the dental doc only and only bcoz every time after the treatment i used to get to eat an ice cream...πππ...and coz of it i was ready to bear all those machines and injection mentioned above by deloπ.

Is it perhaps the fear of discovering a cavity? Maybe, they will find the beginnings of gum disease? Maybe the fear of having a tooth pulled? Are U afraid of needles , the sound of the drill, used in some procedures? Or just anxious to have someone take a look at ur mouth? Tasks in this thread Task 1 In this thread tell us some of ur experiences?tell us if they are bad or good?hillarious or serious ?share with us reasons why one(anyone) might be scared, anxious,or have a phobia going to the dentist?

Namaste great post and will send in my entry and will return again with my opinionsb tc gudia
I have never really had any dentist phobia. I just hate when the clean the teeth though.. the sharp tools look scary.
But in particular didn't experience a particular scary episode.
I think people hate going to the doctors in the first place so doesn't matter if it is dentist⦠Doctor suggests some problem.. somehow the word itself arises the fear (to some people) and no one likes problems.
I'd like to thank all my dentists I have been to for formal checkups. I know it's disgusting to work with gross teeth, I just can't bear the sight of them and our poor dentists do the cleaning for some of the worst ones. So it's their courage!
