"How could you imagine you will escape stealing fruits you young girl?" Laxman, son of Duryodhan clutched Sam's hand as she closed her eyes in pain, red in anger."I was not stealing! Mind your language you freak! You should not hold hands of a girl like this! And you cannot place such allegations without any proof." she said as she jerked her hand free.
"A commoner and this much pride? What are you, a princess?"
"Do I have to explain my identity before kicking your ass?"
"Guards imprison this girl!" the prince shouted his order as the royal guards came to drag her.
"It is not Hastinapur Prince! It's Indraprasth! Here, your orders will not work out; you have no right to behave like this with such a small girl! Even if she did steal, she doesn't deserve to be treated like this." Another prince came in he looked calm and loyal, his body reflected an aura but he was muck younger than this arrogant prince.
"Guards, let her go! And remember, follow only the King's orders.I am sorry girl for the inconvenience caused. You don't-"
"Are you Prince Srutakirti?! I had always dreamed to see you in real! Can I have your autograph! Shit! I why didn't I bring my Phone? I could have a selfie with you!" Her eyes widened in excitement.
"Dreamed to see me? Why would you dream to see me? And what is an autograph and a phone?"
"I had read about you in the Fan fictions!"
"Fan fiction? What is that?"
"Nothing prince, it's like some story!" Sam bit her lips.
"A story? You read about me there? What was written there?"
"About your valour and the moments with your Pitashree."
The charming prince silently blushed.
"How do you know my father?"
"Who doesn't know him? Your parents are my favourite Couple! Shipping God! Can I meet them?" she clapped her hands.
"I don't get half of your words! You are so talkative! And maybe you can! But, you seem new in Indraprasth, I have never seen you before!"
"I had come here with my friends; but lost my way! I am all alone here and I don't know where my home is!" Sam sighed, "My friends were starving and I saw a van full of fruits so I! I am sorry for letting you down Prince!" she confessed.
"Haha it's not a crime to steal fruits; Mamashree Krishna says food is our right!" The prince laughed.
"He loves to have kheer made by your Mata; that too by stealing!" Sam joined the prince in the talk and stuck out her tongue.
"Right! But how do you know this all?" The prince looked at her in wonder.
"I read this in Mahishee's fan fiction!" Sam blinked her both eyes and covered her face with her small palms.
"I don't know what you say!" The prince looked confused.
"It must be so difficult for you to stay alone; in case you don't have a shelter you can stay in palace!" Kirti held her palms and smiled.
"Thank you for your concern but my friends must be searching for me!" She rose as the thoughts of her friends came to her mind.
"I will help you to find them but it's not safe alone outside. Please you can stay in palace and meet my parents too." His held her palm more tightly and the requesting eyes which Sam failed to deny.
Sam entered the palace draped in gold and gems. The artistic walls and smell of flowers, the red curtains! It was more beautiful than any other place in the world; the busy grand palace.
"This is your room girl!" a maid took her to a room; so beautiful pink curtains and flower and butterflies.
Sam was having a good stroll, glancing around the feast for her eyes. But suddenly, she bumped into someone big. Her thick black hair cascaded down her shoulders and she had a certain aura around her. Draped in all Red, it wasn't difficult for Sam to identify her: She was Samragni Panchali!
"You are really cute; I always wanted a daughter like you! Who are you?" Samragni asked looking at her face.
"Lost my home; I don't know where my friends are so prince Srutakirti told me to live in the palace." She narrated the whole story but smile and excitement never left her face.
"It will be nice if you meet me often! We can spend some quality time together!" The queen smiled at her.
"What is your name?" she asked.
"Samrajya!" She shouted like a five year old as if knowing the correct answer of a G.K question.
"We have got similarities in our name; Samrajya and Samragni!" Said the queen as they both laughed.
"That girl cares about you a lot!" Arjun later told Draupadi.
"Yes she is a cute little piece of joy; I love her company too!"
"She always tries to sound like a young lady; but she is just a baby girl!" They both laughed at this.
"I wish I had a daughter like her!" Panchali sounded lost.
"Hmm you are right! She lost her way to home! Will she be ready to be Pragati?" Panchali slept in his arms pondering over that.
"Pragati!" someone called her from back.
"Pragati?" She moaned as she looked back with questioning little pair of eye.
"Yes I wanted to name my daughter this! But have always got blessed with putra!" Panchali answered lost in her chain of thoughts.
"Can I call you that?" She asked nervously kneeling in front of her.
"Wow a new name?! Yippie! Of course you can call me that!" She shouted like a captain, raising her arms. Draupadi hugged her and smiled.
"You are so cute, very naughty and noisy!" They both giggled.
Sam slept in Draupadi's room that night as she was feeling scared in her's.
The next morning, the both of them woke to a soft and elegant music. She did her tapasya and bathed in a fragrant pool of water. Even Sam was ready by now with the help of Daasis and the adorable mother daughter pair walked towards Arjun's room.
There, they found Subhadra seated near Arjun's feet and lightly pressing his feet. Draupadi clutched Sam's wrist tightly as her heart twitched. She couldn't take in the sight.
A lone tear escaped her eye as she turned and ran away. Sam hung her head, this wasn't right! She looked around and saw no one.
"I have to do something!", She made a firm resolve. She confidently walked into the Room. Arjun immediately woke up by the sound of her thinking anklets.
His eyes widened on seeing Subhadra and he bit his lip. Seeing Sam's angry face, he assumed what must've happened. It was the year he had to live with Draupadi, a chance that he got once in five years. Every moment of those four years, he longed to be with her and now that they had the opportunity, she must've seen Subhadra with him.
"Come on Father! You have to manaofy her, now!", started Sam.
He smiled and winked at her. Both of them had a wide grin on their faces and it was time to mend things.
"Panchali!" He called out and clutched her hand. She looked away.
He wrapped his arms around her.
"There should not be any distance between us; you remember we promised?"
"But there is a lot of difference from that time! Then you used to be only mine; I was yours!"
"It's the same now; nothing has changed; I remember everything!"
He picked her up and took in bridal style. The curtains were closed as candles lit up the room.
Two shadows kissed each other.
Sam was beyond pleased. She'd patched up her most favourite couple! And apparently her Mom and Dad.
May be I am the luckiest girl on earth but I have to go back to my time and find my friends may be they are searching for me, my family is waiting for me. I wish I could stay here forever!
"Good bye." She moaned as she was standing before the room for spying them last time.
Two shadows hugged each other tightly in deep slumber. A candle lighting a corner of room as curtains flew with the blowing breeze.
She tiptoed out of the room as she left her room; the whole palace in slumber. She got out of the palace and saw everyone is waiting for her in the palace door.
Meanwhile, her gang had already invaded the palace, as the last resort to search for her.
"Guys this way!" Mahi hissed.
"The guards are sleeping!" Anu tiptoed in front of the guard.
"This sipahi looks so funny while sleeping! Look at his belly!" Mou hissed controlling the laugh.
"Shh do you want to get us caught?!" Mahi looked annoyed, hiding her chuckle.
"Hide hide hide! someone is coming!" said Mahishee as everyone ran to the side.
"Shit don't this palace people sleep?" Sam tried to hide.
"Mou is it a guard?" Mahi asked as everyone peeped only to realize it was Sam!
"You are caught! Where were you going?" Sam looked back with shock and fear.
"Sam! We tried finding you everywhere! Where the hell were you?" Everyone ran towards her and hugged her tightly.
"Guys we have to be back on time before I am adopted!" Sam said while running.
The guard stirred at the noise.
"You are really strong, girl!" Rammy smiled keeping her arms on her shoulder.
"It's our last chance to go back! We found the time machine and it is valid for only a day!" Mahi alerted.
Everyone hurriedly boarded the time machine and bid a final good bye to Indraprasth!
"One last time Sam!" Mou pleaded.
"Hmm." She answered lost In her thought.
"How long will you be pissed?" Mahi asked
"Hmmm!" Sam answered again.
"Did you see ArDi?" Pro askedShe smiled and nodded positively.
"Did you see them kissing?" It was Anu's turn to ask.
"They were awesome!" She blushed.
"You didn't hug my Arya right?" Mou asked patting her arms. Sam blushed again.
"Kamini we were like finding you desperately and you were busy hugging my arya?" Mou poked her hard in the .
It was again evening when Sam opened her eyes.
Candles were lighting up the cake and the cake was lighting up the whole room.
Happy birthday to you dear Putraji,
Claps and giggles filled the room with Sam in middle, feeding everyone cake.
Party songs decorated ears; everyone danced with the beat.
Pragati means progress; keep your feet moving! Stay happy always! π
