Hi Friends

I am unmarried 29 yr old girl. My menstrual cycle is very irregular. I get my periods sometimes regularly every month and sometime directly after 2 months. But when i get my menses after 2 months , the bleeding does not stop, it will last till I don't take a tablet Primount to stop the bleeding. I am diagnosed with PCOS. There are multiple follicles found in my ovaries. LH and FSH is stable and TH is come down little.

I have visited many specialist for this but there is no improvement. Doctors say that they cannot give me any major treatment on this, only after my marriage when i plan for a child only that time proper treatment would be given to conceive.

When i get any marriage proposals and tell the guy about this problem, they reject the proposal. My family friends say that this is a common problem and such problems are solved after marriage. So no need to tell the guy anything about such problems.

But i don't feel like hiding this problem? I seriously don't understand want to do?

Can anyone suggest what should I do?

Oh man !! PCOS is so common these days and its not that you will have some conceiving problems later on, I mean rejecting you for this is pretty lame but i can see where these people are coming from .. they are not aware what is it and probably get scare, Typical desi .. you know ? BUT don't take these rejections personally .. they are never about you but other person thinking and beliefs, values and the way they're brought up.
What non medically you can do is .. Change your Lifestyle ? Eat healthy .. exercise is must and i wonder if your doctor checked your Insulin levels or androgens.. B'Cuz If you're insulin resistance then that's what affecting the ovaries. So,make sure you ask them and did they put you on Birth control Pills cuz they do help in regulating periods or even metformin ? if not Plz next time you go, do ask them what you can do with that or what's the approach for you.

and don't feel sad about it .. my many friends, my sisters have been diagnosed with this and it can be controlled with few modifications. :)
