Questions
1. What make me unique and different..?
Humour..! I love laughing and make other laughs too. It's not an easy task to make people ROFL on each jokes you created. Humour is something really difficult and it might lead to misunderstanding. But for me it came naturally. I'm a reserved person. I only talk with those who talk with me first. Normally, with newbies (New friends) I always prefer going slow instead of starting yo yo.. I'm your friend and you are mine..!!
Self obsesses, I love to giving compliments to myself just in a way of boosting up my spirits. I didn't find this odd because I'm praising myself with my own words. If you didnt do then who will..? I'm always confident with whatever I do and whatever task I commit with. Hardworking is something I adore in myself. I manage Uni and Office both together and till now I have never complained about my life. I even write stories in IF managing it with my hectic time table.
My imagination or visualizing are always in working point. Even in sleep I plot the scenes of my story. I always tell other that my brain don't sleep when my body does. Mostly, that was the reason I frequently have migraine.
2. Why do you want to take part in this contest?
Because of the uniquely and the creativity of the contest. It gripped my attention and not everyone has the chance to participate in Mr & Ms. India Forum contest. This might look just a game or a simple contest for entertainment sake but if looked in another perspective. This is actually a very good and mind-blowing idea. Those skills which are hidden in the candidates can be brush up. Everybody wanted to win so am I..! I wanted to see how far I can go with this contest. I rarely participate any and this is my first contest in IF. I prefer staying away mostly. But now i wanted to give a try.
3. Describe a situation where you had to work in a team for a virtual contest / game?
Coming to a team work, every members of the team have to work together so that they can have one word instead of quarreling. Eg. In terms of applying ideas..? If the group have nearly 10 members then each one of them should contribute the idea and put it down in a piece of paper. Later, the entire group should start discussing on it and choose those which really have potential. The good thing being in a group are? The ideas and the creativity can be polish by member suggesting what should and shouldn't..? It encourage the members to speak and have a perfect team work if everyone corporate.
4. What factors will make you stand at the crowd?
My sharp tongue.. Sometimes, I just talk what I feel too. I don't bother who the opposite person are and how they connected to me. If I'm right then I'm ready to stand for myself. Seconds, my intelligence. During tutors, I always make myself noticeable in the class. I answered mostly all the question and asked for bunch too. I don't care what other thinks because I am what I am. I need to study and questions are mostly related to studies and given merit points too. I'm very well know in Uni as the most arrogant girl. I hardly smile because I'm close with the person I knows. People knows me but I don't know them. I took months be create friendship.
5. What been your best achievement so far?
In secondary school I won the best literature students award in my whole school. It wasn't an English Literature but an Malay (Malaysian Language). I was the only sikh among others and I manage to grab the award. I got an excellent result and I been awarded for my achievement. It wasn't the end of the story. I become the role model and my literature teachers always used my name by saying to other students that If Pavin can do it why not you..? She is an Sikh after all and still she managed to get first in Malay Literature beating other Muslims students other races.." That was too overwhelming when I heard by one of the students who approached me outside. I already enter College by then but my name was still been used to boost up the students to study and achieve good marks in Malay Literature which was very difficult. My Mom went to collect my award and she was happy too for me.

Hello I am Aadhya, and I absolutely love competitions, so here's my entry and hope you like it! π
3. Describe a situation where you had to work in a team for a virtual contest/game.
4. What factor(s) will make you stand out in the crowd?
5. What has been your best achievement so far ?
2) Well the reason I want to take part is like I said before I love competition, I love being tested and the thing I love the most is being challenged! The fun of being challenged and emerging as the winner, is the best feeling ever and at the same time, this challenge seemed like something that will make me think at the same time make me have fun. These 5 questions that I have to answer made me want to participate more, because I was sure these questions would make me look into myself for the best possible answers.
3) Well I played Basketball and Throwball for 5 years, so being able to work in a team is something I am very comfortable with and has been well instilled in me. I was even part of the Student Council in my School, which gave me great experience in working together and making decisions that will be beneficial to everyone. So the best example of working in a team is during a basketball match, one person can never be the star. You will always have to rotate the ball within the team to make sure that it does not go the opposition, and I remember this one match where our team, made sure that the rotation stayed steady and we won by a large margin. So I do get the importance of working in a team.
4) Factors that would make me stand out in a crowd is my liveliness and my ability to draw out people from their places and have fun! I love staring these group conversations, where we all sit together sing and basically just have fun. I have always been a crowd puller, and when the crowd is all around you, you ar basically standing out aren't you?
5) My best achievement so far was to have become the House Captain of my house, and I feel this was my greatest achievement because more than that badge the many people I got to meet up with and have conversations with broadened my view on everything. I was in charge of one whole house and at the same time was in charge of myself, I had to make sure I was the best leader to the students! This was an achievment in the true sense because, It helped me grow as a person and be that rock people could use to step up too!
Well I have tried to be as truthful as I can, so here's hoping you liked reading this application of mine! Take Care!

The character I chose as my identity for the contest is Janie from the novel Their Eyes Were Watching God, but Zora Neale Hurston. As a young girl, Janie is struck with a sense of independence and rebellion, especially seen in her encounters with a neighboring boy. As she matures and sees the world as Mrs. Killicks, Mrs. Starks, and finally as just Janie, she finds her voice and strengthens herself. Although I am still young, I yearn for independence and have been able to find my own voice as I was exposed to different personalities and situations. While the situations I face are nowhere as complicated as those Janie faces, I find her journey relatable in a smaller scale.
Every person brings something different to the table. Experiences, personalities, and ambitions make us unique. I would say what makes me unique is my passion, but doesn't everybody embody it in one way or the other? What makes me different is the amalgamation of all of the facets that make me who I am. I enjoy thinking outside the box at times, but know when I am out of my field of expertise and need to simply follow the recipe- at least the first time. I am a total nerd when it comes to science and find things like dissecting a sheep's heart or a pig's kidney utterly fascinating. Spiders make me let out a desperate plea to my sister to save me. I am convinced I am hilarious, though some beg to differ. I am that one weird person who enjoys eating brussel sprouts and dark chocolate soothes my palette like nothing else. I am not a teenage genius who invented an app to better detect cancer or a young soccer player who scored USA's only goal against Belgium. However, I have my own perspective, personality, and moral compass, which I believe makes me different.
I would like to participate in the contest because it seems like it would be fun. While it would be great to be able to read, as an 'audience member,' the thoughts of many people around the world, it would be even better to be able to participate. As someone on summer vacation, entering a contest like this would be something fun to do. I've been a member of I-F for a few years now, and the contests I have participated in or followed the thread for were all enjoyable.
Childhood days bring back some of the best memories; the days of very little pressure, light backpacks, and, of course, games. The first thing that pops into my mind at the mention of teamwork for a virtual game is ToonTown. Disney animated characters, or Toons, spread joy and laughter across the realms, using funny gags to take down the evil cogs. A team fight to invade a cog-saturated building would cause my blood to pump a little faster and nervous anticipation to cause my nine year old body to become a little jittery. Communication was key in those missions; one Toon would set up a trap, while the other would lure the cog. Even the less experienced players played their parts, helping with whatever they had with them, including healing gags. While ToonTown itself was all fun and games, long forgotten until now, it helped create a good foundation of both teamwork and leadership.
I believe what will make me stand out in the crowd are my ideas and my thoughts. I always attempt to bring a different perspective to topics of discussion and believe well supported, logical reasoning behind viewpoints is always the way to go. As my literature teacher frequently said, "tell me what you think, but support it. Show me where the evidence is." In addition, I believe in the old adage, put your money where your mouth is. I am interested in pursuing the medical field and am therefore trying to gain more experience and pursuing my passion. I am EMT certified and am attempting to get experience in the field.
I would say my best achievement so far is getting into a seven year accelerated BS/MD program. It is not my biggest achievement because I got into a competitive program but because I was really able to surprise myself. Although I spent long hours studying, doing work, volunteering, and running clubs, I still didn't feel as if I was up to par for the program. My admission proved me wrong and taught me that I can do what I set my mind to. The hard work in the years leading up to now paid off and served as motivation to continue trying my best. More importantly, it gave me a moment of pride and extreme happiness when my mom started jumping in glee, looking happier than she had for a long time. And although it is likely that this achievement, which I currently view as my best, will fade as others take its place, it is the milestones along the journey that help shape it.
Hello, I am Apurva. I would like to participate in the Mr. and Ms IF peagant. For the same I have chosen a character to be my avtar throughout my journey that is Hermione Granger, from the Harry Potter series. The character whom I can relate to. I am sorry if that's not brief.
Me and Hermione
Hermione is an overachiever who excels academically. Same with me, not bragging about it, But I am the class topper from Kindergarden. She often uses her quick wit, deft recall, and encyclopaedic knowledge to help Harry and Ron. I am called a walking dictionary\encyclopedia by my buddies. I feel it my responsibility that the said person understand that particular thing clearly.
Hermione's steadfastness and sheer intelligence (plus the fact that she's the only one who has ever read Hogwarts: A History) save her two best friends time and time again, and she's the only one of the three never to wholly break down in a crisis. Intelligence often translates into strength, but only when wielded by a steady hand " and Hermione just happens to have both, andcompassion to boot. That's kind of girl I am.
Hermione's most prominent features include her prodigious intellect and cleverness. She islevelheaded, book-smart, and is very good with logic. She is often bossy yet unfailingly dutiful and loyal to her friends"a person who can be counted on. I am often bossy, but I always be very careful of not going over the top with it.
Unique is my name! I mean, My name Apurva's meaning. The word, Apurva, is a Sanskrit word which in its common usage means, One of a kind, Unique, Like non-other, Like never before or Unprecedented. But that's not only what describes me as unique. I believe in doing things differently than others. It is generally said that you inherit your name meaning. It was an internal rebel in me against being same, but I would never go over the board, sometimes there are rules. And following rules strictly is something I like but not every time. I would always jazz up my folders; covers etc so it stands out from the rest. If something is in my charge then it has to be done exceptionally good, and I will forgot sleep, food or drink till it isn't perfect something which my mother doesn't likes, hehe!.
