The prostate is a gland located beneath the bladder of every male. Responsible for producing seminal fluid, it's no larger than a walnut. Disease, injury or enlargement of this gland may cause sexual dysfunctions, pain and difficulty when urinating, and other health problems.
Treatments For Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is a malignant type of cancer that often forms in the tissue of the prostate. Luckily enough, a variety of treatments are available for patients which suffer from this disease and they all depend on the stage of cancer at the moment of diagnosis.
The stage will be determined on whether or not the prostate alone or any surrounding organs/parts of the body show signs of cancer growth. The outcome is determined by the age of the patient, levels of PSA in the blood and overall health.
