Role of Homoeopathy
What is Homoeopathy?
Homoeopathy is a form of treatment based on the law of similars i.e. 'like cures like'. Homoeopathy treats the person suffering from disease rather than the diseased organ. The skin performs multiple functions of protection, excretion, absorption, etc. It thereby influences the functions of the entire body. Homoeopathy does not recognize the skin as a mere organ, but as an organ that has to be maintained in harmony with the entire system (body and mind) as a whole. According to Homoeopathy, there are certain constitutional defects in the body or mind or both that give rise to various disease processes. Homoeopathy treats the illness from its roots and restores a healthy balance in the person.
How does Homoeopathy help?
The accurate homoeopathic medicines will halt the abnormal immune responses in the body. It will help to stop the process of lichenification (hardening) and help those cells to shed off. Next it will induce normal production of the skin layers. The upper layer which is lichenified sheds of slowly and there is regeneration of new healthy skin on the inside. Any type of lichen planus shows good recovery chances in homoeopathy.
The external skin problems cannot arise or persist or even grow worse without some internal cause. Most often stress or other emotional problems are the cause for the development of lichen planus. Circumstances that create stress cannot be done away with but its effects on the body can be dealt with, with the help of homoeopathic medicines. Homoeopathic medicines enter the system and take away the effects of stress on the body.
What is needed for homoeopathic treatment?
For treating any type of Lichen planus, a deep acting, constitutional remedy is needed. It is chosen after a complete and thorough study of the emotional, intellectual and behavioral aspects and also giving importance to other physical symptoms like perspiration, stool, urine, menstrual discharges, and reactions to temperature, sleep patterns and dreams. Homoeopathic remedies that will lessen the hereditary influence on the body are also necessary to be introduced frequently as per the demand of the case.
Other benefits of Homoeopathy
Homoeopathic medicines work not only to improve condition of the skin but also to improve overall immunity and builds resistance to various other diseases.
Homoeopathic medications are completely safe and effective.Homoeopathic medicines must be taken only after consultation from a homoeopathic practitioner.
