It's the time turner. It was such a common thing and none of us could guess it without the hint!

The wording was pretty tricky cause all of us started thinking of creatures!

no no i thought so..but ive corrected the riddle back to its original state.. as JKR expressly mentions it on PM to be the only TT to ever enter hoqwarts. i'll post the screenshot.. so Thank God..my riddle was NOT flawed!

Do post the detailed answer as soon as u can to help my pea sized brain understand ur riddle!..

And yeah hints r tricky business.. I too had a similar fate with my "winky riddle".. "booze" gave it away..

But still, I fail to understand y u thought it was "one guess" "easy, obvious".. it was far from any of it..or may be its just me!.. 😆.. even the hints didn't click!

I meant to say that your edited line and your explanation that there is a flaw, gave it away. 'rarest of rare cases'... :)

If u had even thought of "the time turner".. u too r a certified genius as far as I am concerned..

Lol..the answer is out and I still dont get it..the only part of the riddle that seems to click after knowing the answer is "too many rules" , " sets in motion", plus they were very rare so yes only one of its kind in Hogwarts.. everything else, still trying to make sense of it..I hope lumos posts his explanation soon..

@Priya They fell down during The Battle at Department of Mysteries and went into a sort of loop, and are now useless. Hence, extinction.

But I'm still not sure about Jo's confession...
