Being perhaps the youngest in the new generation of 'Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' (Star Plus), actor Gunjan Vijaya happens to be the 'laadli gudiya' of the unit.

Gunjan, who plays Archita (daughter of Harsh and Mohini) says, "I still have to come to terms with the fact that I am actually part of the 'Kyunki…' because once I used to religiously watch this soap."

Career route

The Kolkata-based Gunjan recalls, "After every episode I would deliver the dialogues in my own way, watching myself in a mirror placed adjacent to the TV set."

Incidentally, Gunjan is a model and has participated in several fashion shows. She made her TV debut with 'Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan', (Sahara One) where she played the bratty Saanya, who knew how to get her way. Gunjan asserts, "I enjoy playing negative characters. I love it when the audiences hate me. It's a lot of fun!"

Bollywood visit
Interestingly, Gunjan also featured in the film 'Pyare Mohan' with actors Viveik Oberoi and Fardeen Khan.

"It was like a dream. Viveik and Fardeen are so down-to-earth. They treated me with respect," insists the actor.

Destination next

Interestingly, Ektaa Kapoor has cast Gunjan to play a negative role in Balaji's upcoming thriller 'Karbon Kopy'. Gunjan is also looking forward to sharing screen space with Tulsi (Smriti Z Iraani).

"It's strange that despite being part of 'Kyunki…' I have not yet worked with Smritiji. I adore her as an actor and a dignified human being. The day I shoot with her, will be most memorable," enthuses Gunjan.

The actor shares a close bonding not only with her young co-actors but also with Shubhaavi who plays the menacing grandmother Meera. "Shubhaavi is the hottest dadi of the telly screen," she giggles.
