Mihir quits Hare...; signs Akeyla
Mihir Misra is in news, not for one but two things. The actor is out of Sahara One's Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyan (HKKC), in which he played the lead. But without wasting any time, the suave actor has already signed Fireworks' brand new show on Sony, tentatively titled, Akeyla.
The show is an hour long weekly supernatural thriller. This is the first time that Mihir has opted for a thriller of this sort. "I am very kicked about doing Akeyla. I will play a character who's a doctor or rather a surgeon. It's only been a day that I have been shooting and I don't really know the details," affirms Mihir.
Yash Patnaik, supervising producer Fireworks confirms Mihir's inclusion in the show. "He plays the character of Rohit, and is married to Aashka Goradia who will play Kinnari." HKKC, which has gone in for a revamp with a leap to a different track altogether, where Shyamli has lost her memory and is now Guddi. Thus, Mihir's character is no longer required in the show as she now has a new family and as a result of which the actor has decided to hunt for greener pastures. "I quit the show as the track took a turn," says Mihir.
Rakesh Sarang, the director of the show says, "We revamped the entire show with a new story. It was decided that the first story will be of 200 episodes and on its completion we will take off with another one." So, has the entire star cast been changed? "Except Snighda Akolkar, the entire show has witnessed a change in every aspect. She enters a new family which has new characters and we have also roped in new actors for that," says the director.
Seems to be quite absurd! Well, but it feels good to see Mihir in a doctor's character again, after Sanjeevni. All the best, we say!
