| Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan's Shyamlee (Snigdha Akolkar) was on a high after she purchased her first car a few days ago. However, her joy was shortlived, as the car was towed away by traffic police while she was shooting.
Damage done
"I had parked it inside Gemini studios, where I was shooting. I am very excited, since it was bought with my hard-earned money. However, it was towed away, and I don't think it was parked in the wrong place."
Akolkar's driver said it wasn't a no-parking zone, and the car wasn't obstructing traffic.
"My driver said it wasn't likely to get towed. But they still went ahead and towed it away," she says.
The actress was miffed as the car was damaged when it came back to her.
"There were patches in areas. But there isn't much I can do about it. I am not from Mumbai, so I don't know about such things. But from now on, I will be careful about such things."
South offers
On the work front, Snigdha is happy with her show, and is flooded with offers from films down south.
"I am getting lots of calls for films. But most films in the south are male-dominated, and I am looking for a role that offers me a chance to show off my skills. I will definitely take up something if it appeals to me."
Is actress scheduled to appear in Aruna Iraani's new show, Vaidehi? "I can't comment on it," says Snigdha. After a new car, is a new house on the cards? "I am enjoying my success, and hope to achieve more than what I have today," she signs off. |
