Actress Kangana Ranaut, who will be next seen on the silver screen in "Queen", will launch a new TV show titled "Halla Bol" here Friday.

The show will be hosted by small screen actor Karan Tacker, who was last seen on the small screen as Viren in "Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai".

"Halla Bol", a youth-oriented show, is based on real life incidents and talks about women who have fought against teasing and sexual harassment.

The show will also feature a youth icon in every episode.

"Halla Bol" will go on air Feb 28 on Bindass.

This week bindass' new show, Halla Bol will be showcasing a story of an innocent girl who falls prey to male chauvinism and aggression.

Although, most of the people have progressed in their thoughts and values, there still exist few men who look down upon women in turn treating them just as an object of desire. Women, till today face violence, rejection and discouragement from men. And this particular story revolves around Swati, a bright ambitious medical student who becomes a victim of one such adverse situation by a boy named, Arjun.

Swati, a bright young medical student, who always stood first, had grown a fierce rivalry with her own classmate Arjun. Hailing from a rich dominating family, Arjun could not tolerate being defeated by any girl. His dislike for Swati kept increasing as she ranked 1st in almost all the academic tests. With his growing enmity and aggression, he decides to sabotage Swati's image by befriending her for the college party. Without knowing Arjun's cruel intentions, Swati agrees to come for the college party, where her life completely turns upside down. Following the next morning, Swati finds herself physically damaged and after diagnosis she gets to know that last night Arjun had raped her. On confronting him, she got to know that it was a planned trap for her to withdraw her name from the scholarship program and other merits.

Unable to cope up with the trauma, Swati's academic and personal life gets extremely affected. She loses all her confidence and starts performing poorly in the class which automatically made Arjun rank 1st, but one fine day, Swati decides to fight back her respect by trapping Arjun in his own trap that he once laid for her.

What did Swati do? How did she take revenge? Was she successful?

This week bindass' latest show, Halla Bol, will tell a tale of a woman who not only decided to fight the injustice done to her, but also rescued a threatened woman.

The show, which brings to light stories of women who have been wronged but emerged victorious, brings to fore one of the gravest problems - acid attack. Popular actress, Anupriya Kapoor will essay the role of a young woman Sanjana, who was attacked with acid by her fiance. At first, Sanjana didn't take any stern action but, after a few years, an incident took place which compelled her to teach him a lesson.

Talking about her role in the show, Anupriya Kapoor said, "Halla Bol has a new concept and people can instantly relate to the show because of the present day situation. It is not only helping by making women alert of all the happenings in the society, but also encouraging them to fight back, instead of tolerating injustice. Apart from being just a show, Halla Bol is also creating awareness about the way everyone can handle crime against women and is playing an important part in inspiring the youth. Its great how bindass always brings in youth based shows and concepts."

Apart from Anupriya, popular choreographer, Shruti Merchant will be seen as the female icon and television actor, Karan Tacker will be hosting the show.

Popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande, who will feature in "Halla Bol", an episode on child abuse, says every person should stand up against such a social evil.

The actress will share her viewpoint on child abuse in the upcoming episode of Bindass' show "Halla Bol", which narrates real life incidents of women heroes who have fought against injustice.

Ankita, known for her popular TV show "Pavitra Rishta", will make an appeal to the young audiences to fight back instead of bearing the repercussions of child abuse.

"It is very important to take a stand in such situations," Ankita said in a statement.

Citing a true incident, she said: "Till today, I remember an incident about a girl in my school who used to be really quiet and aloof. As we got closer, we learned that her cousin would take advantage of her and that is when we asked her to take some action.

"Unfortunately, she did not do anything and hence, we informed her elder sister about it who brought it to her family's notice and he was sent to correctional facility."

On the show, Ankita spoke about the approach one should have to such happenings and urged the youth to bring about a change in their mindset and behaviour.

Sneha, a make-up artist gets married to her boyfriend, Tarun against the wishes of her parents and elopes to Mumbai with Tarun. The two have a blissful married life until Sneha starts working. Late working hours, association with male colleagues and her independence agitates Tarun's chauvinistic mind to such an extent that he starts assaulting her physically and sexually.When Sneha tries to seek help from her parents, they turn their back on her and she is left paralyzed against his torment. She patiently bears with Tarun's relentless behaviour for a very long time, till a point where it gets intolerable and she decides to fight back.

Halla Bol reveals a shocking case of molestation



Halla Bol, the show that narrates stories of heroic women who stood against injustice done to them, will take up the grave issue of Molestation. This week's episode revolves around Radhika, a young woman who shifted to Pune for higher studies and became a victim to molestation.

Radhika stayed with her elder brother in Pune, who worked as a junior doctor under Dr. Khurana in a hospital. One day, her brother, Nishant took her to Dr. Khurana as she was suffering from severe stomach pain. While doing her check-up, the doctor touched Radhika in a very uncomfortable manner, but she let the incident pass since her brother worked under him.

Soon, Radhika experienced the same pain again and Khurana suggested that she should be under observation for an entire night. Due to the previous incident, Radhika was reluctant to spend the night at the hospital but, being a concerned brother, Nishant convinced her to get admitted. And, as soon as he left, just what she feared for, happened.

Radhika was frightened and unsure about her next step, therefore she consulted her friend. They finally informed her brother about the incident and the three of them planned a trap to reveal the doctor's true colours. Were they successful in uncovering Dr. Khurana's reality? Did Radhika manage to teach him a lesson? Was she molested by him or she managed to run away?

Halla Bol takes on the matter of stalking


This week HallaBol, bindass' latest show will be putting the spotlight on the subject of stalking. This latest offering from bindass brings more power to women by narrating incidences from various true stories of abuse where the victims have emerged victorious. This episode revolves around Divya, a 26 year old city girl who suddenly realises that she is being stalked. She is terrified by the idea of a stalker, until she decides to put an end to it.

Divya is a 26 year old independent girl who lives in Mumbai with her younger sister, Ahaana. Having lost their parents, Divya looks after Ahaana and they stay together while Divya manages her father's bakery business. She is also learning kick boxing from her trainer, Raghav. Soon, Divya starts feeling that someone is stalking her; she gets roses outside her house on her birthday followed by blank calls. She even feels that someone is watching her constantly. Divya gets petrified by the thought of her stalker being around her all the time and realizes that he knows her whereabouts through social networking sites. One day after a party, Divya feels as if her stalker is in her house. Scared, she calls Raghav for help. And this is when she realizes that her stalker is none other than her trainer, Raghav himself. He threatens her to stay silent and eventually abducts Ahaana.

Divya then decides to fight back, and takes help of her friends to catch Raghav. She uses the same defense techniques that he had once taught her.This seems like the last straw for Divya. She makes up her mind to not stay silent anymore and to fight back. Will Divya be able to get her sister back safely? Does she manage to teach Raghav a lesson?
