Oh that is VERY true. Kesar had the best lines, it was direct from Dil se and very frank. He was never the one afraid to say what he felt.

I wrote this in my topic but ill write it here again, Kesar had amazing character development. He grew so much! From a spoiled and pampered kid to a angry young man to the responsible and loving husband who would fight the world for his wife.
He was truly an ideal husband.

Love this scene...though show was all about Gulal but Kesar was my fav and the most well written character Seedha dil se connect hota tha. The kinda variations CV's gave to Kesar's character were awesome. Gulal and Kesar was not the typical laila majnu jodi, pedh ke peeche dance...both of them had dere share of such moments but inka story was so much more, it was about immense respect for each other even after so many misunderstandings. Understanding, loyalty, faith, trust all dese deep words come to my mind when i think of GulSar. Kesar falling for Gulal was my fav phase. Manasi and Neil were fabulous as Gulal and Kesar. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Gulal.

Its nice to see a post from you on GulSar..beautiful post.

Amuuu 🤗

Forum is active again cuz Star Utsav mein re-telecast ho rahe hai Gulaal ke episodes 😳

Show was initially about Gulaal but post-leap it became as much about Kesar as it was about Gulaal. Kyun ke unka relationship ka dynamic hi kuch aisa ban gaya tha. Cuz every little thing that happened to Gulaal affected HIM in a BIG way !

Kesar was my favourite too. I love Manasi Parekh very talented actress but Kesar was SUCH a tormented soul torn between wanting to love her and wanting to make her happy .. always a maelstorm of emotions. My heart just went out to the fellow.

And DAMN right variations ... From Sanity to insanity from faux-Indifference to desperate-pleas from fondness to obsession ... from boy to man, from ward to husband ... and so many sides to that husband ... doting, possessive, protective, responsible, desolate , resigned .. I could go on and on ... so many shades to a human they showed in such a short span of time and so brilliantly at that. Kabhi aisa nahin laga ke eik dhaaga choot gaya ho ya yeh transition thoda ajeeb laga ho .. it was all so smooth . And THAT my friend was the brilliance of Gulaal !

And so true about them not being a typical "JODI" ... not that they were devoid of any such feelings but in baaton se pare bhi eik rishta tha .. in fact their relationship was so above such "louuu". So complicated, yet so beautiful. So intense it so gentle. And I just LOVE how they never had to resort to any kind of obscene show to make it look nice. Saadgi bhi qayamat ki eik adaa hai . ulaal ki kahaani ki saadgi isi liye dilon pe qayamat dhaa gayi ...

Kesar falling for Gulal was your fav. part of the story ? Yaar you mean post leap ? Honestly mujhe poocho toh Kesar had fallen for her YEARS ago ... all those unsent letters to his "wife" ... watching her come to the hostel from behind walls ... I think Kesar loved her from the moment he set eyes upon her ... when Vasanth introduced them ... but that was a different kind of love ... he adored her ... his world started revolving around her until she became the cornerstone of his life. And when Vasanth passed away and they were made to go through the ritual of Deeyarvattu ... that is when she became his wife for him . And Gulaal showed that, a husband and wifes relationship should be based on respect and trust above all ... ke yeh rishta toh har uss baat se aage hai ... that more thant being in love with your wife, its about LOVING her .. if you know what I mean ?

Mansi and Neil are amazing yaar no words can justify what amazing performances they delivered !! Remember the scene Kesar saying Isme bhi main aadha bahar reh gaya the way he said.. it had so much sadness 😭

The writer of the show is a genius and what fantastic dialogues 👏

Mera jalta hua melodyyy 🤗

Yes yes yes !! kesar was all about dilemmas .. torn between social norms and his own very human feelings .. and Gulaal's constant resistance not making things easier for him .

Isme bhi adha reh gaya was ... I guess I can say this about any line of his. Ekdam dil se aati hai aur dil me ched kar jaati hai.

The dialogues never made me cringe unl,ike other desi shows .. brilliant writing .

Rafz recent times mein I have not a single show which showed a relationship between a man and woman so beautifully. Can we find a male character like Kesar in any show? Naaah

Beautiful characters and Kesar's anguish pulled my heart strings with those intensity, emotions and the dialogues 👏

Never ever cringeworthy and never lame. Neil and Mansi were beyond the word brilliant in terms o acting. Even when they are not speaking .. Mansi's expressions and Neil's eyes conveyed the emotions of their characters.

Ok jumping out of nowhere not being able to resist my uncontrollable urge to blabber some more😆
Love you guys🤗Loving all the discussions etc...Keep them coming...
Ahh Coming to my two cents😳
Well no matter how much I love Neil and Kesar post leap but I cannot help but talk about the wonder boy chotu Golu ..Chotu Kesuda..Ali Haji..Since you all so beautifully talked about his journey from a mischievous devar to an angry young man and then a wonderful husband.I am not able to resist my temptation to talk about how cutely chotu Kesu did justice to this character.Whenever we talk about a husband ,we get to see that ever since the DV ,chotu tagged along with her accepting totally as his patni...Whether trying to understand rituals or trying to understand the complications of getting another wife..All these little questions have already made their home in his tender mind. For Kesar Gulaal was always his patni. His real anger did never stem from her supporting Dushyant but due to her not confiding in him, which is always clear from the river side confrontation.Their bond was totally unique and couldn't be understood with the so called parameters of the society. The complexity of adorable Kesar began with Ali and Neil just seamlessly stepped into his shoes. Some of the mannerisms of Ali and Neil were so freaking in some scenes that it actually made me create a an illusionary belief that Ali had indeed grown up into Neil😆😆...
Specially when she goes away from the house post his love confession...Remember Mat ja na Gulaal...It was very very similar to how Ali used to emote and cry whenever she tried to go away from him..Ahh such SHEER BRILLIANCE!!I can go on and on😆

Sorry for the huge fonts but I just HAD to highlight this bit.

SO very true man ... From little Kesuda to grown up Kesar ... the transition was so smooth ke kahin pe aisa nahin laga ke yeh koi aur shakhs hai ... And YES. Little Kesar was prettyy amazing himself ... specially the scenes at the hostel where they'd show Gulaal going to visit him and him looking from behind the wall ... such brilliant emoting by Ali. And the WAY his eyes used to shine when he looked at Gulaal .. remember the scene where Gulal tells him he was their sapna ? Wahan specially dekhna kaise uske aankhein chamakte hai !
