Agreed 200%! Kesar was such a well written and unbelievably very human character.
Everyone could relate to his pain and feel their eyes tear up for all the turmoil he dealt with.
Btw, Beautiful post!
Loved that scene <3 TFS!

I don't think anyone can write enough to do justice to such a nice character. And not just Neil ... Both Manasi and Neil were instrumental in showing Kesar the way he was. Neil obviously because of how well he played it .. and Manasi because if she hadn't played Gulaal so well, I don't think Kesar would have turned out this great . Because all of Kesar's highs and lows centered around Gulaal ... it was a symbiotic thing.
Yes! Very true. Both Neil and Mansi gave life to these characters. Kesar wouldn't have been what he is if not for Gulaal's presense in his life and vice versa for Gulaal. Their lives were interwoven so beautifully and strongly tied together. The creators definitely planned this story well ahead therefore it did not ever fall like other tv shows.
The thing is agar Gulaal naho hoti toh Kesar na hota aur agar Kesar na hota toh Gulaal nahi hoti. Their relationship is like two bodies but one mind and heart.

In all 'romantic louuu couple' stories, the characters areinterdependentbut in Gulaal it was SO much beyond mere correlation. I haven't seen two characters so intricately interwoven before !And I really wanted to see a little more of Gulaal after Gulaaal FINALLY gave into Kesar's feelings for her ... but sadly show had to end cuz .. guess what ... the Mass's taste runs towards shows high on masala and low on quality -____- . Gulal's low TRP's were not cuz Gulaal failed as a show , it was because people failed to appreciate a true GEM !

Hi Rafi🤗WELCOME TO GULAAL FORUM😳
Oh God so true..Kesar and his letters were such an emotional ride and different one altogetherSIGH ...Great post⭐️Neil and Manasi redefined the word chemistry and So true I have never seen such a show which had such great layers in the characters and all the events were woven so intricately ,it felt as if watching a movie..With an ensemble star cast and some wonderful acting..Gulaal still is so close to our hearts😳
I have only seen a few shows which had such depth in characterization and sadly all these shows suffer low trps and got axed.
Oh my god I literally bawled like a baby when I saw the last episode! Gulaal's confession was so beautiful and they finally came to a full circle in the end with Kesar beating the dhol/drums and Gulaal dancing around him like she used to in the beginning. I SO badly wanted to see more, Im sure it would have been great if they had continued with their married life track but this time a happy one.
Agreed! Gulaal's trps wasn't the shows fault... People were high on ekta maiya ka dramebaazi back then and silly youth shows.
Gulaal had drama but it also had quality, it wasn't mindless drama but sadly audience loves mindless drama more so than meaningful ones.
