@Anu: Agreed...the cinematography was so stunning...I haven't seen anything like this on a regular Indian soap before. The music was also quite different to the tracks being used on other shows...I don't know for how many epis they'll be able to keep this up for though....someone on this thread mentioned that the cast and crew will be moving to Mumbai to shoot indoors soon....

Too late, Shumi....it was "lowe at first sight" after all😆😆....I'd also hoped for build up....but that doesn't seem likely....it's a rarity on Indian TV anyways😆

Sigh...after today's epi, I'm afraid you're right...I was actually hoping that the only reason he seemed so taken with her yesterday was because he somehow knew that he'd just seen the potential rescuer of his village in Gulaal/Neerja....That doesn't seem to be the case anymore since he was about to ask her if she knew Neerja....It's a shame too though....the actors seem quite competent and had some natural chemistry in their few scenes together thus far....
Oh well, there are a lot of other interesting things going on story-wise to watch for I think....I'm quite intrigued by the truth/mystery behind why the two villages are at loggerheads....the story is actually moving at a much faster pace than what I'd anticipated...

LOL I'm not writing off the show, Shumi.....yep there definitely is a lot still going for it and I'm really impressed by the entire cast of characters especially there being stalwarts like Sushant Singh as part of it.....but yes, the love angle they do seem to be skimping on as of now.....so I guess I don't really have much to say there....lol....instant love at first sight stories don't really work for me...just a personal preference, that's all.

But I'm intrigued to see how the rest of it unfolds with how Gulaal will ultimately find water for Vasant's village and how the dynamics b/w the two villages will unfold.

As for the sets, yes I guess they may not show as many beautiful outdoor shots as we're seeing now but it seems they actually do seem to have built that large house set of Vasant and his family and the village area around it somewhere.....so maybe that will continue....the rest might be shifted to indoor sets as everyone is saying......these are the makers of Balika Vadhu, right? They used plenty of outdoor shots in that show also....they might continue to in this as well.

@Anu: Yeah, the show is made by the BV ppl...there may be some hope for the screen-quality then...
I'm also intrigued by Gulaal and how she'll discover water for Vasant's village...she seems to have some supernatural abilities. I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle that...
This show kind of reminds me of a TV version of Lagaan (minus the whole being set in the 1800's, British invasion and cricket thing), with some mystical elements....
The acting has been really impressive so far...I like that despite being in a village setting, the show doesn't indulge in the typical melodrama and theatrics that most other soaps of a similar genre do (atleast not yet)...

LOL yeah it reminded me of Lagaan too....probably cuz of the whole drought storyline and how the entire village is thirsting for water....except these ppl aren't waiting for rains like the crowd in Lagaan.....lol

Anyways let's see how it goes ahead....so far yes they've kept away from OTT theatrics barring the cheesy lowe story but the rest remains to be seen how it unfolds with time.
