Let me explain.
What Shivani told her MIL- "Men and women are of the same worth."
What Shivani told Mr Colourful in her dreams:
"A husband is the pehchaan of a wifey". BULLSHIT.
"I can't hate you coz wifey problems." BULLSHIT.
"I took those godawful pheras so I'm bound to you." UTTER BULLSHIT.
One watch of the movie "Gone Girl" (or read the book, it's better) and you'll know that whatever you keep preaching is pretty much bullshit!
Now, I don't know if it's ST ka maha regressive mindset projecting itself through Shivani or it's just the way Shivani has been brought up (my money is on the former), whatever she told Rangeela contradicted what she subtly sunaaoed her saasuma on gender equality. 🤪
And call me finicky, but I do tend to get worked up when I hear regressive/sexist dialogues like these from either the ML or the FL. It might have made more sense hearing it from Veer's mouth. God knows what kind of teachings Shivani got from her Mama. 🤔
Therefore, it is essential that Ms Rondu/Babydoll (I swear, 10 episodes and so many nicknames already!) reads the book or watches the movie and take a lesson or two from Amy Dunne on "How-to-screw-your-husband-over-when-he's-being-a-jackass"...in this case, two of them. 😎
On a sidenote, Veer's Babydoll jaap was added as an afterthought by the script writer or an improvisation from Vikkas owing to Niti's doll-like shakal? 😆
