Not really a review (not feeling up to it with a splitting headache!), more like a DAFUQ-DID-I-JUST-WATCH kinda post! πŸ˜†

Yeh Veer insaan hain ya Gregor Clegane?? 😲 πŸ˜†

The way he put Niti, Niti's bhaari bridal wear and the chair on his shoulder in the precap made my eyes pop out in disbelief!

I know Niti is probably like one of the most carry-able (if that's even a word) girl in Indian Telly. We have seen that before. πŸ˜†

But it still doesn't take away the whole scene which was shot with Vikas actually setting the chair with Shivani tied to it and taking pheras and not a single expression looks out of place! πŸ‘

I want his kandha!

Waise, I really felt like putting this in the post: while we all agreed that Shivani needs to grow a spine in the show in the long run. Right now it seems, she always had but never really got the chance to show it till being brave was her only option.

Right now I want Rangeela to grow a spine!

He's the only one who neither has a mind of his own nor a spine. There, I said it.

Shivani, for all her docile and soft nature is fighting back, albeit not very strongly, but she is!

And yes, before you start, I KNOW very well as to how Rangeela is treated and all that. I have typed it down myself. But a man doesn't acquire a conscience, it's inborn. So, it's Rangeela's turn to do something good enough in the show for me to eat my words back.

Khair, that's all I needed to say for now.

Ciao, beautiful peepaal! πŸ€—

Shivani as a character has no other option but to be strong. Hence no matter how much people complain she will be the example of you dont know how strong you are unless beung strong is the only option. Because rangeela had that chance but clearly never worked on it. Though i will reserve my judgment on that because so far the back story isn't known so the reasons for him to be a ghulam is very very vague and doesn't make that sense to me.
Now coming to veer and all those namesake humans of that weird place i would love it if someday shivani and rashmi give them a taste of their own medicine. Rangeela is included in it too. Fair enough he will move towards freedom and that will be his peace but paying the price for what he did to shivani should also be included. While he deserves to give it back to veer and his family for all the atrocities they did on him he also deserves some punishment for what he did to others while working under his masters orders. This way or that way he doesn't seem like he lives under some fear or threat so its confusing.
I perhaps say this in every post people must be bored reading it but i simply cannot fathom a love story here between anyone if i say it just seems soo wrong to me. What the guys deserve is punishment including veer regardless of how interesting his character seems to be infact he deserves some real harsh punishment the power he lives on should be the reason for his downfall.

Niti is a nani si jaan.. That lengha would be more heavy than her.. We have seen how a certain someone used to pick her at the drop of a hat that too like a small baby.. So i guess vikas only had to worry about how to carry that chair in the shoulder.. When shivani's 1st SIL was telling how thakur will cut her legs she was looking like a frighten child who heard a horror story..
So apparently shivani is hardly 18 or 19.. She is basically a child who had no experience of the outer world and its cruelty.. So it will definitely gonna take a little time for her to fight back.. She first need enough time to register what happened to her and what all can happen to her in near future..

I felt disgusted when veer asked rangeela how old is shivani and rangeela said even if she is under aged whats the difference😑.. Balik ho ya nabalik she looks very young for that saand veer...

All in good time Lilith..let them build up the momentum so when Rangeela entry maarega, then it will be a lot more effective, TRP ka bhi maamla hai, nahi toh show hee khatam na ho jaye.

This is my first post in this forum...
So coming to the topic.

When I saw the precap of Veer carrying Shivani as she's tied to the chair, I was like HOLY SH*T! I don't think I've ever seen such a shaadi on indian TV before. The desi Mountain 🀣

I'm actually quite impressed with today's episode and thought that Rangeela was totally in his character. He does have a conscience somewhere hidden deep inside, but right now that is clouded because of his blind devotion towards Veer and his family. I think this is what is eventually going to be interesting...the journey that will lead to him accepting his inner goodness and standing up for what he believes in.

I also liked Shivani...she was fighting for what she believed in..in her own way. Hopefully we'll get to see Shivani's transformation to a strong badass woman . If the makers are able to show Shivani's growth in a way similar to Dany's arc in GOT I'll be mighty impressed (not that I think Shivani will ever fall for Veer the way Dany fell for Drogo but yeah)

Veer was his usual self ...ruthless, evil and sexy :P

Can I just say that this show has an AMAZING starcast? Vikas, Param, the actress who plays Rashmi, and the rest of the cast is so brilliant. I must say I was not impressed with Niti in her first episode, but today she proved me wrong. That girl can CRY!! and she'll make you feel her pain. I felt so bad for her today. I have a feeling she'll nail her emotional scenes.

Ghulaam is far from being perfect, but gotta say that this show is actually hatke and different. All we see on TV is the usual arrogant rich guy and quirky innocent small town girl M&B type stories. This show is a refreshing change from those done to death concepts. Here the protagonist isn't some mahaan self sacrificing bhagwaan and neither is he one of those arrogant rich heroes that we see on indian TV. He's a grey character who will do morally questionable things but that's the whole point. It's his journey of self discovery and I can't wait to see how the story turns out.

Hai. Ha ha I like ur title.
Yes it's so ... Omg how did he did this type scene
How can he balance a chair with a person tied to it in unconscious state and take rounds. Great scene indeed. .
But I want to know if veer completes the pheras with Shivani or not.
I really don t want him to complete anyways. Poor Shivani.

Really?? Yayyy!!

Your first post in the Ghulam forum is a reply to my post...how awesome is that? Now I can feel I must have said something right. πŸ˜ƒ

Waise, coming to your post, I really don't want Shivani to go the Dany way, here are my reasons why-

If you have read the books and watched the show, you'd know that Dany and Shivani are poles apart. Shivani is not even like Sansa, tbh.

Dany is a girl who had no parents, was raised by a psychotic brother with a worst case scenario of superiority complex despite being a beggar most of his life. Believed in pretty much everything her brother fed her- including all the bs about "blood superiority" and "Targs being fore-proof". When he died, she pretty much picked up from where he left and became a self-righteous, wannabe ruler.

She inspires fear more than loyalty. She screws up every time and still thinks she's correct. And while she believes what she's doing is right, she is pretty much her father's daughter ad her brother's sister when it comes to ruthlessness. She doesn't plan, doesn't think things through and just does stuff which later ensures chaos. Not to mention her acquired superior complex was just that- acquired. It didn't have a proper graph. Unlike Arya, she's a creeper who needs constant support and can't fight to save her life.

Now, coming to Shivani, what we know of her, she's an orphan but has been raised like a daughter by her mama-mami with proper morals. Maybe her way of thinking is outdated, but it's not wrong.

She's a simple girl who wants a simple life. She has nothing on both Dany and Sansa's overtly ambitious nature. When she becomes stronger with each passing day, the transformation would be her's. Not like that of someone else. She would hopefully not develop a Stockholm Syndrome like Dany did nor I want her to need a man's support to handle her heinous husband.
