Amit Dolawat enters Betiyaan
Amit Dolawat is the latest entrant in Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan. The actor, who had earlier worked in Balaji's Kesar, tells us more about his role in the show.
"It is about a struggling actor with tapori shades," says Amit adding further, "I have spent 22 years in Mumbai so it is not difficult for me to speak that language. Also, I used to stay in a place where all my neighbours belonged Rashtriya Mill Mazdoor Sanghatana so that really helped."

Sharing his experience about working on the show, he says, "Everyone liked my first scene where I got down from a Mercedes in front of Jasveer (Pavitra) and then left by scooter. I had many scenes with Jasveer and we enjoyed it. So far people have been complimenting me for my work. Some have told me that I have done a brilliant job. My friends also like me in the show. I hope that my role will last for a long time even though I have not asked whether it is a cameo or full time."
Asked about how he landed this role, Amit says, "I auditioned for them long back for some role but that time it could not happen because of budget issues. Few days back they called me again for this role. The nice part is that when they started narrating it to me, I immediately stopped them after listening to the first line."
The actor was earlier a part of Saat Phere and also played a mentally challenged character in Milee. That apart, he has done some music videos as well. Through Betiyaan, he is making a comeback on television after a year's gap.
"I am only doing this one show so I want to concentrate on it for now," he signs off.
