At Vicky’s residence…
Vicky is eagerly awaiting Maan’s arrival…
His mother is busy giving the finishing touches to the lunch…
Sudha: where is the banana leaf?
The servant has forgotten to get it from the market…
Sudha is upset…
There is no use in preparing such a lavish meal of there is no Banana leaf to serve, it’s also the way of honouring our guests, we serve them in fresh banana leaves, not the already used silver plates.. even a golden plate can’t compete in this matter…
Sudha sends Vicky to get them from the market not trusting her servant this time…

Sudha: it’s karuppatti( palm jaggery) mysorepaa, made with home made ghee, don’t worry, it’s very healthy

But Maan can’t resist because of the taste and the love with which it is specially made by Sudha for
Maan…
Sudha: you should have tasted the seembu first
Maan: ok, I’ll try it now
Sudha: no no, after eating mysorepaa you won’t get the real taste of this, you eat the raivadai and then try it
Maan is surprised by the way Sudha sits besides them and lovingly tells him how to relish the food…
Sudha has made everything with so much care and she wants Maan to enjoy every item…
The rai vadai is very tasty too… fried and crispy…
Maan tries the seembu then…
Maan: this is so good, I like it
Sudha gets him another serving, this time double the quantity…
Vicky: Maan, be careful, it’s a calorie bomb
Sudha: you keep quiet Vicky, Vicky doesn’t like it

Maan had a tough time eating rasam rice with hands, now at least she should have served the payasam with a spoon in a bowl..
But it’s all worth the hardship, for the food is so good, including this payasam
Maan is done…
Sudha: how is the payasam?
Maan: it’s delicious, everything is so good aunty ji
Maan is done… he is full… he has not had such a heavy meal in a long time….
But Sudha stops him and gives him another serving of payasam….
Maan looks at Vicky for any help…
Vicky is like…you wait beta… it’s not yet over…
Maan can’t take another morsel…
But he is helpless…
Maan has to quickly finish this off and run before Sudha comes with another dish…
Maan tries to take a handful of the payasam…
Sudha stops him again…
Now what? Maan is going to get a heart attack for sure…
Sudha takes a apalam(fried papad), crushes it and puts it over the payasam…
Sudha: now try it
Maan looks at the weird combination and is not ready to end such a good meal with this… But he has no other go…
Maan takes a bite and this is even more tasty, the saltiness of the papad helps enhance the sweet taste of the payasam…
And finally the meal came to an end with the kathali banana and vetrilai paaku(south Indian pan)
Sudha: so Maan, don’t feel shy, feel comfortable, this is like your home, you are like Vicky’s brother, why do you want to stay in the hotel? You can come and stay with us
Maan can’t, he knows where he wants to stay, he has to first find out someone’s address so that he could stay near them…
Though it was a pleasure to meet Sudha aunty and relish her delicacies, Maan is a little disappointed, because Vicky’s beloved cousin is not here…
Maan is yet to meet the cousin that Vicky asked him to find, his search is not yet over…
Maan has to wait to see her…

Sudha is the typical loving mother. She has set her sights on feeding Maan so he will be very full indeed.
