All the girls sat around a circle with drinks, nachos, brownies and other snacks in the centre. They were all in the PJs and had facial masks on.

"Annie, you excited about getting married?" one of the girls asked, while nudging Annie to make it clear which part Annie should be nervous about.

Others laughed, while someone added, "I am sure Annie won't be nervous, rather impatient"

"Shut up you idiots" A blushing Annie admonished, while turning to Geet, "Bhabi at least you should support me"

"Of course Annie" Geet smiled with a twinkle in her eyes, "Girls don't annoy Annie...after all she need all her energy before the big night...opps I meant big day" All the other girls started hooting and jeering that comment, causing Annie more embarrassment.

Annie threw a pillow at Geet, "You are worse than them!"

"But bhabhi, can I ask something" Kavita, one of the younger girls, asked with hesitation, "Have you ever been attracted to anyone apart from Vicky bhaiya?"

As always Geet felt a pang in her heart as she heard Vicky's name but also a small smile broke across her face, "Well, loving someone doesn't mean that you don't find other people attractive but it means that you don't-"

None of the girls wanted to hear the rest, they immediately jumped on what she had admitted, "Oh my god you were attracted to someone else!" Roshni, Annie's best friend who knew Geet very well, gasped out, "How is that even possible?"

"Who is this person you were attracted to!" Annie asked with a big smile, "Do tell!"

Geet rolled her eyes despite her amusement, "Come on! It is only natural to be attracted to attractive people. He was just...just someone I knew in high school."

"Oh, was he very handsome?" one of the girls chirped.

"The best looking guy there" Geet smirked.

Geet watched him as he concentrated on his work, oblivious to her staring. The perfect lips, the straight nose and the slight stubble, all creating a beautiful face.

There were some imperfections in his face, like how one eyebrow was more raised than the other and a crooked tooth. But they all added to the package.

Suddenly, Nancy, one of Maan's crazed stalker/admirers, came upto them.

"Hi Maan" She fluttered her eyelashes so fast, Geet wondered if she would propel herself into space, "How are you?"

Maan just raised an eyebrow and gave a simple, "Fine"

Giggling as if Maan was the wittiest person on the planet, Nancy continued on, "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the Prom with me!"

For a second there was a look of utter panic on Maan's face because the truth was that Maan was a gentleman who hated disappointing women, regardless of how crazed they were. He gave a beseeching look to Geet, wanting her to help him out.

"Actually, Maan and I are going to the prom together" Geet smirked at Nancy, enjoying the anger on the girl's face.

"Yes!" Maan exclaimed and then said with a little less gusto, "I mean, I am already going with Geet, so unfortunately I won't be able to take you"

"Fine" Nancy huffed and then walked away, leaving Gee to her mirth.

Giggling uncontrollably, she punched Maan on the shoulder lightly, "You just can't help attracting the women can you?"

Maan rolled his eyes, "Laugh all you want, but now you are stuck with me, you have to go to the prom with me"

"Going to the prom with the best looking guy in the school, such a chore!" Geet winked at Maan, before laughing more.

As always, Vicky had impeccable timing and right at that moment butted into the conversation.

"Best looking guy in the school?" Vicky wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, "Planning on asking me to the prom? Go ahead, I might agree"

Maan shoved at Vicky, "Idiot, she didn't say ugliest! She is going with me"

For a second Vicky was silent and then there was a small smile on his face, "Oh are you two friends not lovebirds"

Before Geet could say anything, Maan rolled his eyes, "No we are friends", though he did sneak a glance at Geet, wondering what her reaction was.

"Well in that case, save me a dance" Vicky pulled Geet into a half hug, "If you haven't broken any bones from dancing with me retarded cousin."

"Bugger off Vicks"

"Is it that time of the month Maan? Use a tampon" Vicky cracked up laughing.

"I'll shove the tampon up your ass!"

Geet kept on laughing, entertained by the pair.

"So did you date him bhabi" the girls asked with burgeoning curiosity.

"No!" Geet laughed, "I did something better, I became his friend!"

"How is that better?" Another girl asked in confusion.

"Well girlfriends are replaceable, but friends aren't." Geet advised, "That's why its always important to make sure that you not only love the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with but also are their friend. Love can change with time but with a friendship as its foundation, it won't crumble under pressure."

"Well, you did marry your best friend" Annie asked with a calculating look.

"Not my best friend" Geet shook her head, "But Vicky was one of my closest friends."

"Well, if you were friends with your crush, did Vicky and Maan bhai know about him?" Annie asked.

This time Geet laughed outright, "Of course they knew him. It was Maan!"

All the girls gave scandalised shrieks and started asking even more questions.

"Why did you fall in love with Vicky bhaiya then!"

"Because, Maan was my best buddy instead. We became such close friends, that it would have been weird if we dated. I stopped seeing him that way."

"Well, that is a surprise" Annie had a slight smirk on her face, "Either way, you would have ended up a Khurana"
