What a awesome start to the week!
It was an episode dedicated to Maan and Geet. Thank god for that.
Maan Singh Khurana the poet and lover was back. He rocked it! I don't know if the mushy lines is for my taste, but it worked for Geet. 🤣 They were sweet nonetheless.
The idea for Maan to narrate the letter himself was very good! That was the best part. His narrations both with action and words was awesome. Gurmeet did a great job here...He had the perfect voice modulation. The lying on Geet's lap, light touches, and hugs were a nice touch instead of him just reading the letter.
Instead of saying sorry or giving her an explanation, he simply tells her how much he loves her. The point of this was to make Geet see that even if they have differences in their relationship, it is not bigger than their love. They cannot live without each other. That whatever tribulations they go through does not define their relationship, but how much they love each other.
He has his usual banter about the sun and the moon. He feels his life is empty without her...he once called her the sunshine in his dark life. That she is. As Maan talks, Geet tries many times to leave him and she runs from his thoughts. But every time he appears in front of her. She does not utter a word, but the denial and reluctance to accept him is seen on her expressions. But even then her desire and love for Maan is there. Drashti is brilliant in expressing with her eyes.
Maan finally makes Geet see that they are meant for each other and cannot live without the other. Finally! Only one word comes out of Geet's mouth in the entire episode; Maan. I think it's sufficient to say that means he means more to her than everything else and her world revolves around only him.
The hug at the end was awesome...it really showed how much they missed each other.
So did Maan kiss Geet's ear or cheek or something? Well I wouldn't know since I couldn't really see it. Their face was captured in such odd angles. But hey i got a clear view of the scene...I saw it on some interview segment and not the episode, which is the shameful part. Editors need to up their game as always. I felt there were some odd close ups of their face. And what is up with the constant show and tell of Maan and Geet's lips? That is so weird. Unless they are talking I suggest they don't just tape their lips. Please, please stop using those orange balls for effects! They really are not needed at all. Maan and Geet by themselves are good enough to make the moment special.
I love the Inception type BG score. The music was a good combo today...maybe it was a bit too loud and that is why I noticed it. 😆 The dream-like music with used was perfect for the letter narration.
Overall it was great!
I also saw the new promo...reserving judgment until I see what happens. All I can say is that it would make for some really good scenes of Maan and Geet sneaking around.
