Dear Geet Writers: I loved today's episode.
Taken by itself, it displayed everything that is right about this story and this series.
However, I am still struggling with a very fundamental question...why did you jump to this track so fast? In a matter of 24 hours worth of events in Geet's life, you are showing her transition from being happy at getting engaged, to realizing Dev is Maan's brother, confronting him, leaving, struggling with Dev's cliff hanger question on choosing love vs. hate, revealing the truth about her pregnancy to everybody and also going to the police station to turn the criminals in.
Individually speaking, each of these was executed quite well. But when put together and seen from a broader story perspective, it seems incredibly hurried...even given GC's illness. Each of these was a story high point that deserved some more screen time. Instead the screenplay has it all squeezed in to a single week of episodes. For e.g. one big consideration for Geet that you raised last week was should she reveal that Dev was the perpetrator to Maan right away. You had Geet starting to do that soul searching but never gave that introspection any breathing room...why? Was this another editing issue where the channel decided that more "drama" was needed to make up for GC's absence and falling TRPs? If so, I kind of understand, but the story and its logical movement has been compromised.
That said, what is done is done. I hope you can at least show some the following in the next few episodes:
1. Geet reflecting on why getting justice was important to her.
2. Sasha showing some empathy for Geet's situation and regret at her actions. Sasha has not been sketched as an out an out negative character like NT. So she should be shown doing some self-analysis. Otherwise, you leave her as a very one-dimensional character with no long-term potential...a mere caricature of a villain.
Back to today's episode, I loved: 1. Geet's confrontation of Dev & NT. She laid the whole truth out without letting NT or Sasha stop her! I loved that the screenplay did not have Geet breakdown at any point during the confrontation. The tears she displayed was a normal reaction to a dramatic moment...not a sign of weakness.
2. NT's characterization was consistent. She is a sociopath. In her mind, no matter who is hurt, her own selfish ends will always justify the means! Characterization was flawless.
3. Dev remaining the spineless coward that he has been characterized as from day 1.
I was also very puzzled by: 1. Meera being shown telling Dev that he told her a half-truth...huh...say again? Dev did tell her the whole truth including doing it for money...so do we now have a Ghajini Meera? Instead, you could have shown her realizing the true impact of Dev's actions...her perspective changing from that of Dev's friend to that of a woman...that would have been more logical AND powerful.
2. When the chairman of such a big company is being taken out in a stretcher, only a single security guard runs up to inform somebody, that too quite casually.
3. Given that you keep showing Adi & Pinky as Geet's only friends, why did they not follow her when she left?
Closing notes: 1. Drashti, Perneet, Kanika & Karishma...fabulous acting. I hate to keep saying this but Abhinav cannot express emotion to save his life! It is horrifying to watch him in dramatic scenes such as those in the past week.
2. Please show Adi & Pinky going to help their friend...that's what real friends do!

An ode to the Geet Writers:The episode started
Exactly where yesterday ended!
I love when you display
Such perfect continuity!
Geet demands answers
From Dev and his evil partner!
Let the truth be heard so everybody understands
How an unmarried girl from HSP got pregnant!
You are pregnant? Dev asks
Alas...AS's single expression still lasts!
NT on the other hand,
Tries to stop Geet from speaking her mind!
But Geet, our fearless unstoppable heroine,
Lets NT know, she did not have an abortion!
I will not kill my baby, Geet said,
You & Dev will go to jail instead!
Geet laid her story bare,
Nothing hidden, no one spared!
Spoiling a life just for some money?
Dev, I will make sure NT & you pay!
Dev, as usual, stood and stared
Meet Geet's eyes, he would not dare!
NT remained her evil self
But Meera, thank god she left!
As Geet went to seek justice,
She could only think of Maan and his promises!
She missed his guidance and presence,
He was her strength and she felt his absence!
Maan meanwhile has an accident
In the elevator he was riding in!
But no one important at KC,
Seems to be aware of this catastrophe!
Meanwhile, as was expected,
The police think Geet's story is suspect
So a police woman quietly advices Geet
To go and get the baby's DNA tested!
Determined to punish the criminals
Geet rushes to the hospital!
Her sadness at Maan's perceived rejection
Stops her from seeing his condition!
But today, it was the dupatta's turn,
To remind Geet that Maan's around!
That man on the stretcher,
Oh Maan, could that be you?
So, in the end, Geet Writers,
Kudos for an episode well done!
You've left me debating the future plot
That's what I enjoy...so thank you for that!
👏
