I blabbered random thoughts as you already said it everything nothing to add more.

LOL I read an article from the launch of the show and the Savita Tai character is a major one so the saas-bahu drama will deffo be there.

There's a reason they've established her as a powerful figure in the chawl who is quirky and mercurial...also, very possessive of her son. So the main story is going to be the clash b/w these three characters...Raghu is likely going to be caught b/w his mom and his eventual wife Dhanak😆

As I said, the story is predictable...the treatment is what will matter...and as of now, it's watchable...despite the tomato drama😆

I think the whole purpose of that scene was to establish that Savita is a very sanki type of character...no normal person lobs tomatoes at a woman who wouldn't put up a poster of her...lol...and she's clearly very fond of Dhanak's Naani...so there will be a back and forth in terms of conflicts with Dhanak and affection for the Naani.

Speaking of the Naani...lol I love Dhanak's harried yet cranky dad...the way he said staying even two days with the Naani is like being in a paagal khaana😆

The show has an irreverent sa vibe that vaguely reminds me of IB...drama hai but ugly/serious nahin hai...villains bhi funny hain for now😆

Manisha Sharma, Chief Content Officer, Hindi Mass Entertainment, Viacom18, said "Gathbandhan' is an apt narration of the belief that opposites attract, where two individuals with startlingly different personalities fall in love with each other. Raghu, who is a don, and Dhanak, a self-righteous girl studying to be a police officer. Having different morals, she wants him arrested along with his mom, whereas he wants to please her to make her his bride. With lots of nuances of Gujarati and Marathi families, the storyline will spice up the tashan between the two. But the question is, whether their love will win, or will their pride take precedence?
Dhanak and Raghu are as different as chalk and cheese. She is a charismatic and mensch lady IPS officer a single-parent child from Gujarat, who wants to fulfil her father's dream. She is determined, focused and decisive. Raghu, a local don, is a Bollywood fan and aspires to become like his mother (Savita Bai), and carry forward her legacy of money extortion. As the two opposites tie the knot, the questions that arise are: Will Dhanak put love above law? Will the unusual love be damned by society and devastate the couple and their families?
'Gathbandhan' stars Shruti Sharma, Abrar Qazi, Sonali Naik and Pragati Chourasiya in pivotal roles. The grand launch of the show witnessed a big, fat wedding of two contrasting personalities, destined to unite. Thousands of people, along with the Colors family, came together to bless the couple and celebrate their D-day.

but 🤣 that saathi haath bhadhana part

raghu ka following mujhe toh creepy stalkerish nahi laga itna toh minimum hai hai he wasn't being creepy about it

lol at Aslam and Raghu ka misunderstanding ke unke liye police laayi but 🤣

oh also the bhai sitting in behan ki goad in the car was such a typical brown family thing jitne bhar sakte ho car main thuss jao woh behadeveryday tha and relatable

haan savitri hai and the actresspalying it is Apne mehta ji ki maami from PKDH & IDWTV lol i was trying to figure out kahan dekha hai finally yaad aa gaya

BTW is it by the makers of Udaan?? caz kaafi Udaan actors hai carry forward here like dhanak ka baap woh randomlady jisko tomatoes maar rahe thay LOL

baaki sab theek hai am not liking dhanak ki behnein they have such a negative vibe to them and they look older than her than younger haha

No the show is from Jay Mehta & Kinnari Productions. The PH behind Jiji Maa show of Star Bharat. Their other shows from past are Sindoor Tere Naam Ka, Rab Se Sona Ishq and Jeet Gai Piya More. All Zee Shows.

oh thank you 😃 i do know about STNK that toh isnow in vintage category kaafi purane shows hain but chalo good to know a reputed PH is behind it let's see if they can maintain it.

Oh i didnt know about that article. And also it is being aired in colors,saas-bahu drama is inevitable.I meant that i didnt expect it in their first face off itself but yeah as long as they continue to show Dhanak giving it back to her i think i can tolerate the show.

For me the USP of the show is Actors as they are doing pretty good job and the interactions of the leads so far,so yes it is watchable for me now FFing any other OTT drama stuff.And yeah drama is not ugly/serious like in few other color shows.Upar se after tolerating lot of recent shit in this one month of the other show😆,i think i got some resistance and resilience too😆

.I find the twist in the precap interesting as they didnt drag the revealing part of him being the kidnapper.Dhanak slapped him as soon as her father revealed it and him pointing a gun at her haha,so lets see whether he come out of his LAFS mode and show some tashan/tadi for a while but i want to keep low expectations😆.I think its too early to predict anything about his character for now i guess,as we got clear idea about the FL's character so far and we have yet to see his character unfolding in the upcoming episodes😆.For now i find him sweet,funny and goofball or whatever it is😆.No creepy vibes so far even when he was following her.
